Skinny Mike's Ice Cream & Shave Ice

I’m not sure how this place gets such great reviews. My wife and I had a shave ice from here on our last day visiting the island for a week. This was the worst place we had shave ice! The ice is thick and the flavors aren’t real like the other locations we went. We also added a scoop of macadamia nut ice cream that tasted like the milk that was used was spoiled! Disgusting! We only had a few bites before throwing most all of it away. We did however, enjoy the atmosphere/ambiance of the place and the girls working were nice.

Skinny Mike's has the best shave ice and ice cream combo! They have a ton of different flavors to choose from, and the portion sizes are generous! It's been years between visits to the island, but I always go back here every visit!

The hugest shave ice I’ve ever had! If you want to try the shave ice here come with at least one other friend. This thing was massive! There’s only one size so be prepared. My friend ordered the shave ice and took maybe 3 bits out of the thing. I had the Kona coffee ice cream with chocolate chunks on a waffle cone. They made their own waffle cones so it was delicious. The minute you walk in the store you can smell that waffle cone. I was initially going to get the shave ice but once I walked in the store, I could not resist getting the cone.

The macadamia nut ice cream was really great. I had it in the s’mores Sunday. The service was a little slow but if in the area it’s a good ice cream place to go.

This is some of the best ice cream my family and I have ever had. The young people working the counter were very nice, and they definitely do not skimp on the scoops. We've been here every day on our vacation. Highly recommend!

Looking for Ice Cream, Shave Ice, Shake, or Coffee...Skinny Mike's is a good spot. Popular so very busy at times. If you are used to mainland prices you may get sticker shock. I recommend the macadamia nut ice cream.

We went there on Sunday, Feb 19 and had such a bad experience. We ordered a Banana Split Sunday icecream with triple scoop. What we got was three scoops of iceccreams (that was kind of already melted so much). No bananas and it did not look like what we ordered. Instead of apologies, the girl who was working there insulted us and spoke very rudely. We calmly tried to explain them that we were not happy with what we got (not even asking for refund or another icecream as we did not want more sugar in our bodies). She could have simply said sorry but instead she raised her voice and asked us to leave. This is how they treat their customers!!!! Exptremely disappointed with the quality of service, rude staff, and melted icecream.

I stopped in here twice for "milkshakes". I had mine made with coconut milk and the pineapple sorbet. Really lived this little shop. Highly recommend for a cool and refreshing treat.

Coconut cream is a dream. Make sure to get the waffle cones - they’re made in house and are delicious (not too sugary + a perfect dash of cinnamon). Good service and generous servings.
