Tip Top Motel, Cafe, And Bakery

We have been here weekly for oxtail soup with a side order of veggies and their loco moco with a sunny side up egg. The food is consistently delicious.

It's such a well oiled machine, every moving part just flows in that small cafe.

The banana and the pineapple pancakes were amazing. Added a scoop of fried rice that was delicious. At 8am there was a bit of a line (reduced seating due to COVID), but is definitely worth the wait. I would highly recommend this cafe!

Read about it in Kauai Revealed and it was as advertised. Avoid the French Toast, but the pineapple pancakes were good. Oxtail soup (yes, for breakfast) seemed very popular.

Was very busy. Service and food great. Husband had scratch pancakes and I had famous Loco moco.

Great food! The oxtail soup is very good. The chicken wings are outstanding. Be prepared to wait in a line.

This place has a great local feel. It has been in business for over one hundred years! Parking is a challenge, and once you’re inside, the line seems intimidating. However, this place is super efficient. The line moves very fast, and you get seated before you know it! The food is fantastic! Don’t be afraid to try things that don’t seem like traditional breakfast. The pancakes with banana, pineapple and macadamia nuts were fantastic! The service was prompt, efficient and friendly.

Stopped here after a helicopter tour of the island with Safari tours. It was definitely a big locals spot. Portions were big and the food was served super fast and hot. The Loco Moco was easily one of the best I have ever had after having been to multiple other restaurants. The prices were more than affordable compared to most other restaurants especially as a tourist. Next time I will definitely get their “famous” oxtail soup.

Didn’t really mind staying here, truly a get what you pay for experience but was only there for a night. The bed linens and room was clean so that’s all that counts to me. Aircon needs to be fixed it rattles loudly so we just turned it off, didn’t bother checking in or out to let mgmt know so hopefully they see this comment (room 225). Thanks guys.

We got our bacon cold and super overcooked. The chicken fried steak was just a fried frozen then fried again steak. The breakfast egg with hashbrowns was legit 1 hashbrown like the ones from mcdonalds but more dry. The pancakes where the only okay food and only because they are exactly like the ones i would make at home . Nothing fluffy or buttery. Overall we ate our food but i don't see how this place has so many stars 🤔🤔

Two stars. The workers were not paying attention to my order. I ordered a size small saimin for take out for my daughter. When I brought the food home for her, she opened it up and was disappointed. She told me that it was not saimin and when I looked inside, there was an oxtail soup instead. She began to cry since she had been waiting all day for me and her father to come home with her food.
