The Point kitchen + cocktails + sunset

When the points first opened, they had a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Now it’s same menu for lunch and dinner. No place does that. It’s expensive and after ordering a $20.99 salad I asked for a piece of bread and they charged me a dollar for. How cheap can you be! It’s obviously not the dollar. Although the location is beautiful and the setting is quite charming. I will not be back. I don’t need to spend $36 for for a view of the intercoastal for lunch. Additionally, my salad, with salmon, which was overcooked and small, had no flavor. The salad was described as having feta cheese and blueberries. They were five blueberries, and no feta cheese. Not cool.

We took visiting guests here Saturday night hoping for a nice meal and views up top. Felt like we were at a club for college kids as they had a DJ blaring music along with people smoking as they danced in swimwear. The food was mediocre at best. Not the experience we were expecting or hoping for. I'll stick with the tiki hut below for a casual atmosphere, beer and munchies.

Our waitress was pleasant but seemed fairly new in her job. The kitchen was very slow. The view was pretty good from our table, but not worth the wait or quality of the food.

We love this place. The views are gorgeous and drinks delicious (and fairly priced!). We haven’t had any issues with a wait, even on the weekend. And the tiki bar downstairs adds a fun atmosphere, especially if you head down after your meal to listen to some live music.

Location is the only good thing about this restaurant. It took over an hour to get our lunch and we had to send it back because it was undercooked, the second time wasn't much better.

The restaurant was not crowded and there wasn't any communication about why it was taking so long. There was plenty of wait staff but nobody seemed to be hustling.

Terribly disappointing to say the least. Friends have been here before and said the prices have gone up substantially. There are plenty of other places to spend your hard earned money, take a pass on this restaurant.

Love the view here, my Cobb Salad is always the best! I have 4 ⭐️ instead of 5 because of the service, our waiter was not friendly at all, kinda rude to our requests (which was very simple, like please close the door so the cool air can stays in…) we will definitely come back! Hopefully will get someone else nicer

Location is wonderful. And that's about it. Save your money for somewhere else for dinner. Food is just ok. And the bartender Courtney has no personality, she should be in the back not out front with customers. Go for the view, have some apps and drinks.... But go somewhere else for dinner.

My family and I came in on what was obviously a very busy night.
We waited a few minutes, But ended up getting a seat right on the edge of balcony with beautiful view of sunset.
Jules was outgoing and took wonderful care of us.
Grouper Entrée was delicious.

I had lunch at The Point today, and my lobster roll was outstanding, comparable to the lobster rolls I've had in Maine! The contents included a generous helping of lobster and a perfectly prepared and authentic roll. The chef visited our table and told us how she was fairly new and had changed many recipes, including the preparation of the lobster roll. I look forward to many more meals at The Point, where I've found, hands down, the best lobster roll to be found in Sarasota and perhaps even in Maine!

This new restaurant has beautiful view of the water and the food was very good. The portions are generous. The grouper sandwich was excellent so was Caesar salad. Bloody Mary a 6. Service was excellent. Good Covid precautions. Tiki bar on water looks fun.
