🥯 Brooklyn Bagels & Deli Beneva

The only downside here? They close too early for me. I like to eat later.
The lady behind the counter was definitely from Brooklyn, the accent, the attitude, the sense of humor. Love it.
My stereotypical corned beef on rye was terrific, lightly grilled, juicy, very tasty.
Assuming I can get there before 2 pm, I'll come back, for sure, there's too many other things on the menu I want to try.

I got a salt bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was fresh, soft and slightly chewy- how it’s supposed to be.
The scallion cream cheese was very fresh tasting. You can tell it was homemade.

They did not skimp on the cream cheese either, they gave you plenty!

I read in earlier reviews that the people that worked there were rude. No way!

That is completely the opposite of what I saw. I thought the people were professional and very friendly. They worked fast and hard.

I live in Palmetto that’s about 30 minutes away from here so I am not in this area very often. I will definitely be making the trip!

I am someone that eats out several times a week, and breakfast is one of my favorite meals. During my trip to NYC & Brooklyn for two weeks, I had the opportunity to try several breakfast locations and ate many bagels. I have to be honest; I couldn't wait to get back to Sarasota to enjoy my favorite bagel at Brooklyn Bagel & Deli. Sure they don't use NY water or boil them, but they are my favorite bagels. They compare and even tasted better than some of my visited bagel shops in the city. Excellent service and they remember your name! Try them out!

The New Yorker breakfast sandwich is terrific. A little pricey at $8, but worth it. Also, I have had several different types of bagels, and a reuben sandwich. Always terrific food. Some advice, order ahead. There's usually a line, especially in the mornings. Also, the store closes at 2pm.

We visited the restaurant on Cattlemen before, and it immediately became our new favorite for bagels. Yesterday, we placed an order by phone and had to change that order and also add several items to it this morning at 7am (right when they opened). While also filling other order-ahead orders as well as walk-ins, the awesome, friendly staff got everything in our order correct, making the requested changes and adding the new items in literally 3 minutes. I was so thankful because we were responsible for ordering for others who were excitedly awaiting their breakfast. We look forward to coming back often when we are in town again.

OMG if you are looking for the ABSOLUTE BEST BAGELS, in Sarasota, look no further!!!
You must try Brooklyn Bagel and Deli on Beneva. You’ll never go anywhere else.
The variety is amazing and the bagels are out of this world!!!
The staff are so friendly and upbeat, such a fun place to eat.
We’ll be back ASAP to try their sandwiches and of course MORE BAGELS!!!😋🤗

They have Taylor ham, eggs, and cheese. The only one to have it in the area. Only Jersey and NY people they will understand what I'm talking about. Great bagels and muffins and good coffee. A little higher price, but you get what you pay for. Enjoy!

Come here pretty much weekly, it’s clean, nice interior, and fresh options, bagel breakfast sandwich is top three I’ve ever had. Staff are pleasant and efficient - served by Alyssa who is always friendly. Request from a fan - can we have strawberry cream cheese if feasible.

What a great find. We stopped in for lunch and absolutely loved our sandwiches. I had the Hot Pastrami... comes on marble rye with melted Swiss cheese and brown mustard. It was pure perfection. My wife had the Italiana, stacked high with ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and Italian dressing. Here again... a real taste treat. Don't miss this place.

This place is the best!! I’m here every Sunday morning at 7:00. The staff is always friendly. Alyssa always remembers my order and makes the Nova (bagels and lox) perfectly every time. Easily the best bagel shop in town. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and go. Seriously. Go. Now.
