We were a party of 5 and arrived on Friday early evening. We headed upstairs and were seated inside by the large windows with less than a 5 minute wait. We still had a view of the water and sunset. There is an outdoor balcony with additional tables with even more spectacular views. We ordered various plates, drinks and appetizers and the service was great. All the food was cooked to order and well presented with lots of flavor. The whole vibe at The Point is best described as "Jimmy Buffett" style, which perfectly matches the waterside location. I was surprised to learn that the property is spread out with several buildings and a dock/pier. After the dinner we walked down downstairs outside to the pier to watch the sunset and it was amazing. There was live music in the backyard of the property and a tiki bar as well. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing and tropical. We enjoyed the dinner and outside amenities and just took in all the scenery. The evening could not have been better and great memories were made...

Great location, the tiki bar area is good. I can't tell if the restaurant is understaffed or poorly managed. Being in season a wait is expected and that's fine, but on multiple occasions I've stood at the hostess stand for more than 5 minutes just waiting for someone to acknowledge us. After getting a table, it appears the wait staff and kitchen are severely over stretched, which may or may not be the restaurant's fault. All in all, great place to come for a drink, but maybe not for dinner. Live music is good but super loud to the point where we have to yell to hear each other.

I was only stopping in for simple dinner but it looks as though I could have planned almost any celebration here and it would be perfect! Service was a little slow but with the size of the place I can only imagine how busy the servers are at all times. Food was amazing though and the views made us not care how long drinks took!

This is an awesome restaurant with an amazing view. Want to drive your boat up, no problem. Want to listen to some live music, no problem. Want to dine inside or outside, no problem. Looking for a place to eat some delicious food, no problem.

The restaurant has three levels and an outside Tiki bar area.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

We concur with other 5-star reviews. Our group said each of their orders: grilled grouper, shrimp scampi & fish & chips was delicious. The sunset view from the second floor balcony was wonderful. We were seated quickly but not rushed through a relaxing evening of drinks and dinner. We'll certainly be back. Mike K.

Love the view when you get outside dining. Not our first time here, been here many times for lunch. First time for dinner and we had a reservation, seated right away. Still have yet to dine on the 3rd level, not sure how you get that seat. Our waitress last night was doing a final night of training for a returning college student but we have to admit over all our service was really less than stellar. Long gaps with no contact, so hopefully the college student didn’t use our experience to provide service when he goes solo. My husband had the grouper, his cheddar mashed potatoes were the perfect shape of the scoop and must have been plated too soon as they were completely cold. I had the crab cakes, they were ok, felt too minced up, no chunks of crab so I don’t recommend them. The 4 stars was for the drinks, view and company of friends and past lunches. Dinner and the service was a 3. As for our service, they limited seating and had lots of empty tables so still not sure why the service was less than stellar.

The Point restaurant in Osprey, Florida is an absolute treasure trove of delightful experiences that will leave you with a smile on your face and a satisfied stomach. Let me take you on a journey through this amazing waterfront establishment, where good food, refreshing drinks, and stunning views come together to create a truly memorable experience.

First things first, let's talk about the libations. The cocktails at The Point are expertly crafted, with mixologists who know how to tickle your taste buds just right. Whether you're in the mood for a classic martini or a creative concoction, they've got you covered. If cocktails aren't your thing, fear not! The beer is always cold and refreshing, with a great selection of local and craft brews to choose from. Cheers to that!

Now let's move on to the food. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure because The Point delivers on all fronts. The seafood is fresh and expertly prepared. From succulent shrimp to mouthwatering fish dishes, every bite is a celebration of the ocean's bounty. Oh, and speaking of bites, the portions at The Point are incredibly generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied and full. The best part? The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food.

But it's not just the food and drinks that make The Point special. The view from all levels of the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you choose to dine inside or enjoy the open-air seating, you'll be treated to panoramic vistas that showcase the natural beauty of Little Sarasota Bay. Let me let you in on a little secret, the top floor bar boasts one of the best views in the entire Sarasota area! Watching boats gracefully cruise by on the intercoastal or witnessing their attempts at docking adds an extra touch of charm to your dining experience.

If you prefer a more casual atmosphere, make sure to check out the tiki bar located right on the water. On many days and nights music fills the air, creating a laid-back vibe that perfectly complements the scenic surroundings. You can even find picnic benches with umbrellas around the outdoor space, inviting you to sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite libation while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

The team at The Point is friendly, attentive, and always ready to ensure you have a wonderful time. However, it's worth noting that during peak hours, the kitchen can sometimes be a bit slow in delivering your food. But fear not, the staff is dedicated to continuously improving, and I'm confident they'll address this minor issue in no time. A special thank you to Michael for always taking great care of the patrons at the bar upstairs!

One last thing worth mentioning is the accessibility of The Point. Located at mile marker 38 in Little Sarasota Bay, it is accessible by boat. So, if you're a seafaring adventurer, you have the unique opportunity to dock your vessel and step ashore to indulge in the fantastic offerings of this remarkable restaurant. There is also plenty (and I mean plenty) of land vehicle parking for you landlubbers!

In summary, The Point in Osprey, Florida is a true gem that combines excellent cuisine, refreshing drinks, and awe-inspiring views. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a place to unwind with friends, this waterfront establishment has it all. So, gather your loved ones, head over to The Point, and prepare yourself for a memorable experience that will leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Bon appétit and enjoy the view!

We had lunch at the Point in Osprey Sarasota! The view here is spectacular and we sat upstairs on the patio. Our server was so attentive and friendly. The salmon was cooked exactly the way I like it and with such a pretty view, it was the perfect place for lunch. They have indoor and outdoor dining options, a boat dock and tiki bar. It is definitely worth a visit and you will find yourself going back’

Great food, big portions. Got the Shrimp Po Boy and Lobster Roll, both with Parmesan truffle fries. Excellent. Andrew was our server and did an exceptional job.

Great view of the waters. They have decent selection of food on their menu as well as for the kids. The service was also good. The games for kids downstairs made the place enjoyable for the kids.
