Love this place. Been going here for 59 years.
Hotel staff is easy to work with and very accessible.
Joyanne gave us a little tour of the updated rooms and ballroom. She was very enthusiastic about all the history of the hotel. Obviously loves her job. What a joy staying there.

This is a wonderful old hotel. The lobby is very nice. A great place to hang out or have a drink. The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The room doesn’t have a refrigerator or microwave but they brought a microwave up for us to heat up some leftovers.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms clean. No in room coffee. You have to run tub and sink water for 7minutes to get hot water. What a waste of hundreds of gallons of water. They want you to buy over priced coffee in restaurants snd coffee shop. Food was tasty but overpriced. Not quiet with remodel construction. Very under staffed.

Pay $350 room that’s 90 degrees when I arrive. Have to keep the window open all night even though it’s freezing outside just to have a comfortable room temp. Trashy people who aren’t even staying there yelling and screaming like children all night long, squatting from cheaper hotels in the area to look at the Christmas lights. This place is as awful as the rest of Colorado, because the people in Colorado are just downright awful. Never coming back.

Complete disappointment! I realize it's a historic building, but I was completely taken back by the zero amenities. Even a warning at check-in (which the wait to check-in was excessive) that if we used any of the "Extras" in our room we'd be charged for them. I stayed in Alanta GA. a few years ago. They too said that at check-in, but when I went to my room there was a full bar, candy and snack assortment. I understand being charged for those items. The only. "Extras" in the rooms at Hotel Colorado were soap, shampoo, cond., ect. Are you kidding me? Never have I stayed somewhere that they charged for the toiletries!! The bathroom was Very dated and not in a good way. The toilet rocked when sitting on it. I wanted to take a bath but the tub looked disgusting. The TV was shockingly small. Room service failed to answer after trying 5 times, so I rang the front desk. They did answer right away and had room service call me. The sheets were the only saving grace. They were fabulous. The parking was another dissatisfaction. Payed for parking but after coming back from The Adventure Park in the evening all spaces were taken.... It's obvious your hotel caters to "The Well To Do" which we are not. Pretty pathetic that you can't even get a cup of coffee without shelling out $3.50.
We were very excited for a last family vacation before the holidays. I wish now that I would have done my homework and researched your hotel. Sadly our family will not be returning!

The hotel rooms are very outdated, small, and dirty. There are cords hanging from the ceiling. The food in the restaurant was terrible and the service was worse. I was charged $18 for a minuscule “Cobb salad”. It was no larger than 4 in in diameter. For a low quality salad, with no protein, this is outrageous. The burger was decent but the butternut squash soup was horrible. I will not be coming back!

Great property! From pre-check in, Angel had reached out to ensure all of our details were correct and set our whole stay up for success. Tremendous level of service from check in to the restaurants. Great location just a few steps from the main town area, and what a cool historical property to wander around. Would definitely stay again and recommend to any!

I just want to give a big THANK YOU to Miss Angel at the front desk, who literally moved me to tears of gratitude. I was in a Colorado snow storm tonight and had gotten stuck in a snow bank, had to get towed out, drove over 6hrs total (vs 2.5hrs on a normal day) and arrived after 10pm. I was greeted with warmth, compassion and an attitude of “let’s take care of you” which was beyond my expectations. She empathized with me and my traumatic evening, gave me a free drink coupon and encouraged me to relax and enjoy myself before worrying about getting settled in my room. It was exactly what I needed. I wish there were more Angels in the hospitality world, and if there are, write them a review so they know they’re an angel indeed. Kindness goes a long way, and she didn’t have to go out of her way to make me feel better, but she did with her smile and genuineness.
I’m writing this as I enjoy my glass of wine (the hotel bar even made me feel welcomed after they already called last call) and am decompressing with a smile on my face. I wish I was staying here longer than one night, but I can say without a doubt I’ll be back, and it’s all because of how Angel treated me from the minute I walked in.

Historic, epic, and classic. Lots of pictures and relics from the bygone era; Teddy R, Taft, etc. Huge hallways, fireplace lounging area and expansive porches. Steam heat, high ceilings and wonderful on site amenities.

Super comfortable beds, beautiful and large rooms and bathrooms with renovated historic furniate. Tasty and prompt evening room service, no one amswering room service phone in the morning at 8am (weird? Busy?). *Love* that they welcome dogs! ($50 extra a night) Highly recommend.
