Such a great historical place to visit. I loved looking at all the photos and articles on the wall. A lot of famous people even a old school gangster story you must find and read. Yummy biscuits and gravy.

Mark and Angel helped us greatly at check in and checkout.
This is a beautiful, rustic hotel that calls us back to remember the rugged and beautiful people who built America and who stayed here: Wild Bill Cody, the Unsinkable Molly Brown, President Teddy Rosevelt, President Taft.
This hotel is at the crossroads of I-70 and that road that goes to Aspen.
Go south about 20 miles and visit Aspen. Go east or west and visit America.
Be prepared for soul, for spirit and for remembering our history during your stay here.

I would highly recommend visiting Glenwood Springs at the Hotel Colorado. The experience that I have had there was a wonderful warm welcome from all the staff, and from the hotel itself. I especially would like to thank Angel for going above and beyond to make my experience wonderful. I appreciate it keeping the Christmas lights up until the end of January. The food in the restaurant along with the service was exceptional. Thanks again to all I highly recommend this place.

Historic Glebwood Springs is an awesome place to visit. While the rooms are representing the era of Roosevelt they are in the process of remodeling. The new rooms have many amenaties while keeping with the historic Era. Great christmas decorations. Food is good. Bar area is nice. Lots of gathering space around the common fireplace,

If you like grand old hotels with alot of history this place is for you .they are doing renovations so I don't think I can speak to some things I found wrong bc they were in the process of fixing them .service was excellent beds were big bathrooms were what you would expect in an old building but notthing was ever dirty quite the opposite .they have key turn radiators as someone who comes from a warm climate getting the room the right temp was frustrating. But all in all a lovely place

I think this place will be amazing once renovations are complete. I liked the room a lot. Very comfy bed and sheets. But are they planning to reno the bathrooms? There’s no room to even put a toothbrush on the pedestal sink. (It’s ok, but doesn’t match the price point.) Loved the dog friendliness. Great location by the pedestrian bridge. The historical charm is nice. Coffee shop was way overpriced and mediocre. As one reviewer said, the hallways are big enough to play soccer. And the people in the room next to us let their four kids do precisely that one night (while shrieking). I was appalled!!! Not the hotel’s fault, although I think they need a clear policy on hallway etiquette. I didn’t call the front desk because I didn’t realize the absurdity of the situation until I entered the hallway to ask them to quiet down.

Had a mixed experience. The hotel is historic and had great Christmas vibe. It was decorated beautifully with lights and decor. But since it is very old we didn't had a pleasant night since the radiator or pipes on the room kept making noises all night.

Stayed here several years ago and was looking forward to staying again. We did not know until we got there that the hotel was under renovation. Although the employees did stop working at a reasonable hour, it wasn't the nice, quiet stay we were hoping for. Not to mention, the hallways were lined with upgrade material... Rolled carpets, marble squares, pieces of equipment, etc... That definitely took away from the ambience.
Checking in was very easy for us while our friends' experience was much the opposite. After their cards being charged multiple times, and being told they were declined, the finally got things worked out. The rude desk clerk made the experience much worse than it needed to be. I was embarrassed for them
We did have a minor glitch checking out, as we were charged for parking when we didn't even have a vehicle. They asked us when we checked in If we drove, and we told them no. Our friends drove. The same desk clerk that was rude to our friends redeemed herself relatively quickly by refunding us for parking.
The food at the restaurant was good, but it was surprising how empty the restaurant was. When we stayed many years ago, it was difficult to even get in! Not sure what changed as the food and service were great the two times we visited.
The poor lady at the coffee shop almost had a meltdown as they installed new systems the day before, and they were not working for her. She was unable to make any money since all she could do is serve coffee, for free. We felt very sorry for her.
Eventually, this will be a great hotel, again. They have some kinks they need to work out. The hotel is too expensive to have so many issues.

This was a great historic hotel. I felt like you were taken back to the 1900's. The rooms were well kept, lacking in some of the modern amenities that you would expect, but that didn't take away from the overall experience. Coffee shop & restaurant were located in the building.

Well to start all these amazing reviews about angel so when I booked I called and asked for her she had time and patience to answer all my questions and bless her heart when we got there she was only one out of all the people there that knew how check people in we had over 20 people on our train. Renovations are beautiful we had balcony suite which was beautiful and amazing and the shuttle driver I forgot his name was amazing and friendly. Food was good. The historic and beautiful nature of this hotel is a must see. I read a lot negative reviews before booking but still had see for myself because that’s just me and I don’t regret it ; construction never bothered us or did we hear it. The view of mountains from our suite was amazing. The only downside is I still haven’t received deposit back of $50 a day and in no way did we destroy anything in room. Be nice if I get answer on that. And one last big shout out to Angel again she needs a promotion she really went above and beyond there was no taxi Uber or shuttle at 430 in morning to get us to coach bus stop for our way to Denver and the shuttle driver worked his hardest to help and without any other opition he asked Angel and Angel truly was a angel in a blizzard picked us up and took us to the bus stop. Her and shuttle driver really need be recognized. Thank you hotel Colorado for beautiful honeymoon.
