We went in late May and let me say spring time is B-E-A-UTIFUL up there. Especially around the hotel. The hotel has a lovely outside area with a fountain and little cozy campfires to sit at during the evening hours. 10 out 10 would go again! Staff was super friendly, welcoming as well as very helpful in answering any and all of our questions about the hotel and other things we had questions about.

I absolutely LOVED my stay at this hotel! Definitely still going through renovations (and it will be for awhile) but the charm is outstanding and worth the price. Not once did the renovations impact my stay or disrupt my vibe (I actually never heard or saw anything but occasionally smelled fresh paint and would pass a maintenance worker in the hallways). The hotel staff (front desk, maid service, restaurant, bar, cafe) were all amazing (I stayed for 5 nights). My favorite part of my 5 night stay was walking around the first two floors in my cozy PJs and slippers (with a nice sweater, makeup, and earrings of course) with the fires roaring in the fireplaces, drinking wine, and reading the captions of the framed photographs detailing the amazing history of the hotel.
I would like to especially call out Angel at the front desk (although everyone was excellent), Mary Anne at the restaurant, and Elizabeth/Olivia for the maid service - thank you. Angel especially was a life saver who made my stay excellent from start to finish - she even made sure I (as a solo female traveler in the winter) got to my next destination safely!
Yes - the water does take ~5 minutes to heat up and the rooms are heated with radiators (which I actually prefer, especially to dry my bathing suits from the hot springs and ski suits from the day skiing local areas, including Aspen and Vail) - it was built in the 1800s! If you want perfectly boring and predictable Hiltons or Holiday Inns with no history or charm, then this place is not for you. But if you want pure elegance with local charm, I highly recommend! Plus, they take pets!!!!!

My mom and I came for the first time and we just loved this hotel! For starters you felt like you walked into a different era when you walk into the main lobby, the historical factor is so well kept and honoring of the past, and the music choice is fabulous as well. Just wanted to give a shout out to Joyanne at the front desk who was so lovely and helpful to talk w at the front desk and also Dan the maintenance man, who we would run into throughout hotel and was so great to chat with about the history of the hotel. The staff were so nice! The rooms are great and well kept you can actually open your window which I loved. I have read some people disappointed about not having a refrigerator.. who cares there is a great bar, restaurant, coffee shop in hotel and then you are spending most of your time out and about.. I so look forward to coming back and I highly recommend getting the deal including breakfast and the Glenwood hot springs pass! So worth it!

My favorite place to stay in Glenwood Springs! I come here at least once a year to escape the desert. I love the architecture and location as well as the friendly staff. I also appreciate that the hotel is dog friendly but I wish there were no pet fee.

We have been to Glenwood Springs many many times, but this was our first visit to Hotel Colorado. This is a beautiful hotel and the room was very accommodating. We had happy hour in the bar with a snack. Gorgeous bar!! Our server/bartender Ashley was awesome. Not only did she bring us our drinks and food with a smile, she engaged us with her lively personality (and sparkly earrings ;)). She is a gem! The walk to downtown Glenwood is a breeze from here as well. We will be back!

We had an amazing time staying here! When Kodi saw our group exploring the hotel, he went out of his way to show us around and teach us about the hotel’s super cool history. Angel and Ryan were also amazingly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We can’t wait to come back and see everybody again

Angel was the best receptionist we’ve ever met! She even convinced us to stay an additional night here at Hotel Colorado. The service was amazing and the hotel itself was too! We loved the old feel of the place and people like Angel at the front desk made our experience all the better. Incredible atmosphere and very festive decorations. The renovations to the property have updated the rooms and made everything super comfortable.

Phenomenal experience at Hotel Colorado! Our expectations were exceeded. From the welcoming and accommodating reception staff (Angel, Carol), waiter (Chad), as well as assistant manager going above and beyond for us (Kaytlyn), we had such an enjoyable stay, and even ended up booking an additional night because we didn’t want to leave. We enjoyed our massages in the ground level of the hotel by Elizabeth and Daegan. So professional and relaxing! The hot springs was magical. Will highly recommend to friends and family certainly make a trip back!

It was my first time staying here. There was a slight issue with using some gift cards and a system issue but was resolved on the spot and the front desk person gave a free parking pass without hesitation for us waiting patiently while it was resolved. There are renovations going on so lots of noises during the waking hours but not before 9am which we appreciated. It was beautiful ❤️

The assistant manager (female) was no help and very unprofessional. Needs to take a class in interacting with the public. Angel and Thomas at the front desk and bellman were more helpful then the trashy assistant manager. I just can’t believe I pay $400 a night for the trashy service from assistant manager!!! 🗑️🚮🤮 still waiting for the “Manger” to call be back. 📞⏰
