What a great getaway! The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful! The experience was like stepping back in time. We had breakfast at the hotel. It was very good as was the pie I had the night before. Really quite enjoyable!

I visited this hotel for a weekend getaway from Denver. We booked the 3 bedroom suite and spent close to $900 for two nights. The staff is VERY friendly although that is the last good thing about the stay. The room was very large and had tons of age appropriate pieces of furniture that went along with the “historic” nature of the hotel. The mattress were very uncomfortable and in desperate need of exchange. The phone in room was not functional and really didn’t serve any real purpose because this hotel did not offer room service. The hotel has a restaurant in house and doesn’t offer room service, does not make sense to me. The steam heat is great although they failed to instruct us about how to make it function properly at check in. The drains in almost every sink was clogged. The main reason to stay at this hotel was the proximity to the hot spring, unfortunately you must bring your own towels and robes to utilize the hot springs. You can rent or buy towels at the hot springs although capitalizing on this should be a priority in my minds eye. Hotels that charge $450 a night should at the very least supply a bathrobe. The food in the restaurant was fairly good albeit limited for those who are following anything but a carnivore diet. All in all the attention to detail and lack of basic amenities at this price point leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately I will not return nor recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The staff exceeded our expectations. They were very kind and catered to our every need. The meals we had at the hotel were delicious. We will be staying there again on our next trip.

I booked with Hotel Colorado for a company retreat with my employees. I was highly impressed by Kristen Keefer their director of catering. She not only helped us book our banquet dinner but she also helped us book our rooms and hot springs tickets. She was very responsive, accommodating and professional.
When checking in/out we were helped by Angel. She was super great and very informative. She answered all of my questions and super nice.
Ashley in the bar was absolutely amazing! We had a large group of about 20 people and she handled it like a boss. She was fun and so incredibly personable.
Our catered dinner was delicious and the entire staff was friendly; All while they were also catering a wedding in the other room as well! Casey who was our bartender during our event was extremely helpful and made us all tasty drinks!

It has been a long time since I have been to the Hotel Colorado and the new renovations look amazing. The rooms were beautiful and still kept to the history of the building. There were only two areas where I feel could use some improvement. First was the bed in my room, just a little touch on the firmer side than I prefer. Also the temperature of the hot water in the shower, however take that with a grain of salt as I recognize the age of the building can take a toll on systems such as that. I let it run as they suggested in their fun facts card we received at check in, it just didn't quite get as warm as I would have like.

Overall I was incredibly pleased with our entire experience and cannot wait to book again with these guys. Absolute home run!

    Thanks again!

This Christmas Colorado Hotel in Glenwood Springs, Colorado is fully decorated. It is a historic gem associated with the famous teddy bear named after Teddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt was a guest of the hotel. A maid gave Teddy the bear after the President had an unsuccessful hunt.
The dining room is open. The bar is spectacular.
It is fun to walk across the bridge spanning the Colorado River into downtown Glenwood. It is a charming place with many white lights decorating the downtown.

We booked a courtyard view room for Christmas Day evening and when we arrived at 900 we were pleasantly greeted by “Angel”! She was very friendly and we were talking about getting married a couple months earlier and this was our first Christmas married. She said I’d like to make your Christmas by upgrading you to an end suite, there’s one vacant and you are such a lovely happy couple!
Needless to say our end suite overlooking the beautifully decorated Christmas lights throughout the courtyard and the downtown Glenwood Christmas lights was spectacular and she truly made our first Christmas so memorable and one well always treasure!!
Thank you Angel for your happiness and kindness and huge heart..you are amazing!!!

Wow!!! Beautifully decorated and maintained historic hotel. We had views of the mountains and the hot springs and cute downtown were right next door. Super clean and genuinely great night’s sleep. We will 100% be returning.

Hotel Colorado will always have a special place in my heart. After proposing to my now wife in the bell tower suite overlooking the town. Taking the train from Denver during a beautiful spring snowstorm. To making it an annual destination to relax in the healing hot-springs. I'm excited to finally write a review because of all the investment they've done to their rooms! They maintain the historic beauty with exposed brick & fireplaces, but lean in to comfort & opulence with fine furniture & matched fabrics. Hotel Colorado really is the Grand Dame of the Rockies & should be on your short list of places to visit!

I adored the preservation of the beautiful Hotel Colorado. That is what really makes the rating I am leaving as high as it is. The staff were very kind, but they were understaffed and the service was significantly delayed. Location was nice, close to the hot springs.
I loved learning about the hotel's history, and the ghost sightings too. Bathrooms could be much cleaner.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Colorado in February for Valentine's Day! We took advantage of the Weekday Getaway Package, and the amenities were above and beyond what we
expected. The breakfasts at the hotel restaurant were exceptional! The room was clean, comfortable and quiet...and the ambience of the historic hotel made for a great stay!
Many thanks to Angel, who initially made our reservation, and then checked us out at the front desk. She was so great to work with...friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about this great hotel.
We'll be looking forward to another stay!
