The history of the hotel is really interesting. It’s beautifully decorated for the holidays and bed was comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was good, but our dinner was not. The beer cheese soup and bleu cheese flatbread were almost inedible. They also charge for parking.

Staff was amazing and the locals were fun. The hotel was definitely going through renovations but it was the quality of the renovations that were lacking. Just saw a lot of duck tape kinda fixes. It is a really neat hotel with a great staff. Just shotty repair jobs all over the place.

What a disappointment. This is not a high-end hotel. We booked through a travel agent and we paid $1200 for train from Denver and hotel. I thought it would be old and quaint but it was old and shabby. Seven minutes to get hot water? Seriously? Threadbare carpeting in the elevator and hallways. Obviously old carpet in the room that was not a remodeled room. Remodeling going on in the room above all day despite their online promises that work would not disturb the guests. The restaurant was intermittently closed and the food was barely passable. The only redeeming trait of this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and nice, across the board.

If you're looking for a cool historic hotel to stay at, this is the place! Love all of the old style lobby areas and the architecture is fantastic. For those looking for a slightly more modern experience, it looks like they're renovating the rooms. Personally, I'm glad I got to stay in one of the older rooms for the experience. Very convenient location, so you can just walk anywhere you need to go, but they also have a shuttle.

Couple weeks ago we stayed at this hotel for three nights. When we travel we try to pick historic hotels to stay at. They give you different feeling, charm and some history. So we understand the difference between modern amenities and interior and older historic hotels. Historic hotel should not mean dirty and neglected. What a shame that this hotel is so poorly managed. What a waist of this grand and beautiful building. Now, we saw some activity for renovations but that should not interfere with current guests stay. I understand the current situation with staffing, but in three day no one even bothered to take the trash out of the room. I am going to say when you pay over $400 per night some service should be provided. After couple of days I received an email asking how my stay was. I gave my concerns and sent it in. No one even bothered to respond. What's the point than? Clearly they don't care. Ohh well, can't recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.

My white Husband is a cook and as a Hispanic male cook can disrespect him, use hateful race terms and drop food on the floor but continue to put it back on the grill and serve to customers with no disciplinary action but the moment my husband defends himself, he is sent home ? I don't find it very fair nor professional on the managers part nor the people who run the place. As my husband is married to a Hispanic and has 3 Hispanic children he has NO ISSUE WITH Hispanics/Mexicans. Discipline and take actions on both parties not just one, especially the one who started it and asked 5 times if he wanted my husband to step outside and fight, but yet he was able to stay and my hubby got sent home .... If that's what kind of hotel this is I highly don't recommend staying in a place that plays favoritism or who can't handle conflict.

One of the most amazing hotels ever i’ve stayed. Cozy and very pleasant vibes, well maintained and most importantly, customer service was top notch!!! Amazing Front Desk team, makes you feel as you are home and whatever you need an assistance with, they are there for you! Special thanks to Sydni, Angel and Carole! Thank you ladies, you are doing an amazing job!!!

Angel at the front desk was so helpful and friendly, she made our stay. The building is beautiful and the history is amazing.

Great location, but this place needs serious work. On the fourth floor I couldn’t get a hot shower with any water pressure. The staff told me to run the water for 15 minutes, turn the sink on, and try again. It did not work. Also there were bugs in my room including a cockroach. Very hard to prepare for a work meeting in this hotel, as there isn’t a mirror in the room. Great food and drinks, though.

We absolutely love Hotel Colorado. The restaurant is fantastic. The German lady at the coffee shop is so nice! Be sure to get an old fashioned at the Bar.
