Horrible customer service ever. After placing my order, the espresso machine malfunctioned, you would think that they would tell all those that previously placed an order. But there was no communication. I observed the “lead” being rude and condescending to other customers. Then when I inquired about my order the “lead” was ornery and was insulted I even inquired, there was no apology for the delay, instead seemed like she was offended. Then when my order was ready, although we were the only groups left in the establishment, she chose to not communicate that my order which I waited for was ready, again no apology for the delay or even an acknowledgment. Then when I commented about about their lack of customer service she and the other employee were ridiculously rude. This place needs either a new “lead” our some serious customer service training. I have noticed that the owner only comments in the good service. I hope the owner reaches out to me because after reading other negative comments they either don’t care or chose to address or ignore negative comments because they really don’t care about their customer service or lack there off. I hope you, owner, reach out!

11/7/21 very good coffee mocha. They roast their own beans. Manager Grace was great and informative, even doing some research for me when I asked her a difficult coffee question. -Will

They have good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. There is also a nice area to sit and relax.

Down a walkway off Ocean Avenue. Coffee and pastries available. They roast their own beans. Whole bean and ground coffers available. Very good tasting coffee. I had dark roast and it was delicious. Large pastries for reasonable prices (for Carmel). Tables outside in courtyard. Pleasant seating out of the wind with sun possible. Worth the visit.

I love their coffee and they are the only coffee house with unsweetened almond milk. I got there 45 minutes before closing and they had stopped making espresso drinks, only served brewed.
This is usually my favorite coffee place, but preparing to close 45 minutes early is not acceptable. Especially when the line was out the door. 15 minutes would have been understandable but not 45...rats.

Great find! Briggs and Maggie were wonderful and so was the coffee and pistachio tea cake. Highly recommend!

The rudest most disrespectful staff ever encountered.
The pastries leave a bit to be desired - the coffee is good but not spectacular.... however, the staff behaviour ( very unpleasant lady who was with Micheal) was totally intolerable.
The good reviews that your company receives for your coffee will never compensate for the unacceptable rudeness of your staff.
To be exact: 26 July 2017/3:34pm/receipt 166736 and it was not a take out - the cashier assumed that it was without asking
You probably don't care about 6 very unsatisfied unhappy customers ( there were 6 of us and we have friends) because everyone thinks you are great. The truth is we were done a disservice and no customer deserves that.
We are not coffee connoisseurs but we know great from good coffee.
And lastly, you need to send your staff to serious training or retraining on good customer service.

I previously reviewed this place but only because I confused with another similar shop closer to the beach.

You’ll find a slight line to get in and order, but the moment your in the path you can smell the freshly roasted coffee beans.

I ventured with a Cafe Latte and you definitely can taste the difference. This will definitely be my go to place for coffee here in Carmel

Quaint coffee shop. We came here because we needed WiFi and a place to work. Coffee was coffee, $5! Cute patio seating.

I love this place. Delicious coffees, smoothies, and my personal favorite the sport tea. Staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Don't forget one of their delicious wraps.
