Love the beauty of Carmel by the Sea. Always fun andrelaxing be this way. However, there are lots of places to eat that are expensive and sometimes catered to tourists.
From Scratch is a great restaurant with very reasonable prices that can cater both to locals and tourists. Even Guy fieri is a fan! You will not leave this restaurant hungr
Corned Beef Hash- lots of big chunks of corned beef, potatoes and comes with some fried grits. Big cheddar biscuit adds to this me

Cinnamon Roll pancakes-:the best thing ordered here. Not too sweet and 2 huge fluffy pancakes
Great restaurant, can be long waits of 45 minutes or more. I will be back!

Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with home cooking to match! We always come here when we're in town and have not been disappointed. From the omelets to breakfast burritos, to the amazing cinnamon roll pancake...we will be back again!

Super yummy food. Food came out quickly. Servers were very friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Kid friendly options like mickey mouse pancake or chocolate chip pancake. I got the BLAT on sourdough and it was awesome! Their ranch is also seriously delicious. The lemonade is really good and they have tiny crushed ice, yum.

Located downstairs in Carmel's beautiful Barnyard, this long-established and popular indoor & outdoor eatery has delightful homemade fare and great service. The hostess advised us that there was about a 15 minute wait. There are plently of shops to peruse, however, she was ready for us within 5 minutes, directing us to a centrally located table inside. The seating, both inside and out on the shaded patio were nicely spaced; the acoustics are surprisingly good. They still had a full house when we left.
We both enjoyed a generous omelet brunch with very tasty homefries w/sweet carmelized onions. I opted for their House-made Cheddar Cheese Biscuit...it was out of this world...I want the recipe!! The pricing is resonable, the service prompt and the customers appeared to be relaxed and content. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend From Scratch.

Best place for breakfast in carmel. You can have breakfast while sitting outside enjoying the weather. The variety of the menu is a big plus and great service. Great experience.
