Duck Donuts

This was my first time at Duck Donuts, and while the wait was a little long, but that's a small price to pay for a warm custom made donut!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will make this a stop everytime I am in Virginia Beach!

This is the first time we tried the bagel sandwiches from Duck Donuts, we are originally from NC. The sandwiches and our drinks were fine. The girl that gave us our drinks was very sweet. I would have given a better review but the young woman that took our order and made our food was the one that dragged this review down.

She had a bad attitude from the start of taking our order and kept saying “is that it?” In the middle of our drive thru ordering and she seemed more irritated as we ordered for 3 people. Then when we said thank you, she did not respond. So we had to repeat “thank you!” And she responded back, still with an attitude “you’re welcome”. She eventually gave us our food and in the meantime we were looking at her to make sure she would not mess with it. Initially she gave us our food and rushed us off, slamming the drive thru window in our face. We called her back to the window and we said that she needed to work on her behavior, she expressed discomfort with us staring at her and that she didn’t hear the “thank you” at first and we explained her attitude is what made us distrustful of her fixing our food. She was consistent with the attitude but did apologize.

Whoever the manager is of this particular store needs to talk to this young woman. Clearly she is getting other complaints based on the other reviews.

Huge fan of Duck Donuts! This is the location that got us hooked years ago. Today wasn't much to praise about. They already had donuts made and in the box when we were ordering. Highly dissapointed we didn't get the fresh and hot, made to order donuts we love. I still gave 4 stars...ultimatley because they are usually amazing. Today just wasn't our day 😔
The donuts tasted overcooked as well. It wasn't the melt in your mouth that we are use too.

This review is specifically for the Virginia Beach Blvd location. This crew is AMAZING!!!
I've been here about 4 times. Twice just the drive through with no complaints! But I really want to tell you about the walk-in experience. Both times I was welcomed with a smile! This crew is very organized and proficient! I've never waited exceptional long and never felt ignored. This is a great location of you're looking for great Donuts!
Each time I didn't have any cash but I wanted to tip these great guys so I emptied my ashtray change into their tip jar. They are truly worth it!

The first time I went to the drive thru noone ever answered and asked for our order. They were open. So we left. The second time, we waited for at least 5 mins before a person responded to take our order at the drive thru. We ordered only 2 doughnuts. There were a couple cars in front of us and it seemed like forever to get up to the window. When we did get there they asked us if we even ordered yet. Another employee was tripping over themselves to get to the window saying we got it. Wonder if the owners know how bad the service is at their store. Hesitant to ever try them a third time. Their doughnuts are good but it's not all that....

OMGosh!!! The donuts are Fantastic, and they are made to order and they are served warmed . They are bigger than your average donut.Well worth it,💗

Donuts were great! The campfire selection should be around Always & Forever! My boys loved it! The staff were very patient as we stared indecisive and practically drooling at the menu 🤤

The donuts are way better than any of the chains. Plus it is locally owned. The donuts are pricey it was almost $10.00 for 6 however they weren't your basic glazed or chocolate covered. They are a cake donut which is definitely more filling than the others. If you like to customize your donuts this is the place for you

After placing an online order and going to another location that ended up being closed we came here. There were only 2 employees, 1 of which couldn't have cared less about anyone walking through the door and the other trying her best to run the whole store alone. It took 30 min and wasn't very clean. The one employee was truly doing her best to keep things running smooth, but the operation as a whole is not good. I don't believe we will be returning to duck donuts, first and last.

If the drive-thru is closed, please just put a sign on it so customers don't have to sit and wait to not be served. Its a simple solution that would go a long way. I know times are tough and places are understaffed, but lack of communication is not out of your control. The donuts are amazing but after the last couple times visiting this location, I'll make the extra effort to go to a different one. Hope it gets better.
