Duck Donuts

I’m blown away on my first visit to Duck Donuts! It’s astronomically different to any other donut place I’ve been to.

There are no shelves of available donuts. Every single order is made after being placed. A machine churns out the plain vanilla base donut. Each of these then go through a dunk base coat, sprinkled toppings, and a finishing drizzle - depending on what you ordered, and completely customizable.

We went with a traditional dozen for later. We also had a bacon egg and cheese, and a couple of donut sundaes, for eating at the store. Every one of them was exquisite!

If you prefer cake donuts to yeast donuts, this would be your spot. Got here immediately after opening and went with 6 donuts. Definitely made to order as you can see and smell the little donut fryer/maker doing its thing.

One of the drawbacks of these freshly made donuts is time... the toppings on my donuts didn't look as....Mmm, appetizing. The lemon raspberry drizzle one looked like mustard and ketchup. Lol. I still ate it. And it was alright. A tad bit too sweet for me though. Donuts are smaller in size compared to other shops. There maybe something up with their vents. My clothes still smells like fried oil.

Overall, curiosity has been satisfied about this spot. Probably won't be back as I'm a yeast donut kinda gal. If you are searching for a fab donut shop, Glazed Doughnuts in Hampton, VA. You won't be disappointed.

Blows dunkin out the water. Great donut selection freshly made as you watch. And reasonably priced for the effort. I pad $12 for 6 donuts. Well worth it. Drinks are available and are very nice. But I came for the donuts and left very impressed. New takeaway night routine is Marcos pizza and duck donuts desert. They are next door to each other and a fantastic taste combination.

If you haven't tried Duck Donuts, you should. They may not fit YOUR normal office treat routine, but it's definitely worth treating yourself to one every once and a while. These donuts are high quality and delicious. All if that being said, they 100% do fit MY routine and they have become my staple for our office treats. For what it's worth, we have a huge office! Now, if someone else brings the donuts and they're from one of the "other places", I'm certainly not going to complain. Who doesn't love free donuts? However, if I'm the one bringing the donuts, they're guaranteed to be from Duck Donuts. Seriously, treat yourself and your office.

Love Duck Donuts. Don't have one local to me so vacation time is when we are able to buy some. This time they knew we were traveling and put the donuts 2 in a box and let us label them so that when we arrived home we knew what was what. The staff was polite and service was quick.
Can't wait till next trip.

Sorry Krispy Kreme you have competition. My first time there and I fell in love. I got a six pack assorted. They were steaming hot when I got them. I drove a good 20min home. They were still warm. We cut up the assorted dougnuts and handed them out to the family so everyone would have a taste of each one
. Everyone's eyes grew big upon that first bite. They all loved them. The bacon is my favorite So far.

My son told me about this place and he said it was really good. He wasn't lying it was so fresh, warm and delicious. They make it right in front of you.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. They never have customers in the drive thru waiting, yet you will sit there for at least 5 minutes wondering if they are even open. By the time someone greets you and you place your order? They then take about 10 mins give you your donuts! I've been to other locations and it runs smoothly. This location is 0/10 so not recommend. Wouldn't advise going there on your way to work, you will be late!

No one working the drive thru. No one answering the phone. Employees serving people on the inside. Very Limited parking. Shift supervisor didn't appear to care and didn't think anything was wrong. This is the second Duck Donuts location (VA BCH Blvd) where employee attitudes are careless. The other location is the Norfolk premium outlet.

This is such a cute and awesome local donut shop. It was a nice break from Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. There’s a glass window off to the side so you can see how they’re made and it’s really neat . Lots of options and a single donut is around $1.60 . Oh and they all came out nice and warm and theres directions on the box to reheat them for 8-10 seconds in the microwave to enjoy for later. Plus, they didn’t mind giving us a small cup of whipped cream for our dog to enjoy. Pay a visit and you won’t be disappointed
