Murphy's Coffee & Bagel House

Visited for the first time today. Loved the atmosphere and the bagels. The pumpernickel and blueberry ones were legit NY Bagels (I am from NY and a bit snobbish about my bagels). The french toast ones were a bit softer and less chewy, but delicious nonetheless. The outdoor seating looked so inviting, and if I were there by myself, I would have ordered an iced coffee and stayed all morning with a good book. Instead, the kids and I ordered our bagels to go. We will definitely be back.

A welcome local addition to the area around 29/33. Fresh and airy space overlooking a little lake. Good place to grab a coffee or quick bite to eat; You can get it really fast or you can sit and watch the ducks.

This is a great spot just outside of Charlottesville. I try to come at least once a month for an everything bagel with cream cheese and vegetables. It’s my favorite local bagel shop! Plus it’s a nice spot to bring your laptop in the morning and get some work done.

I love you guys! The coffee and bagels are amazing. I’d never give anything less than 5 stars to a local business, but the only negative is every single time I have visited you are always out of more than one type of bagel. Make some more bagels every day!!! Also, please consider some hours on Sunday!

Very nice and new like idea of outdoor seating. Best bagel I have had since I moved down to Va. Coffee was also very good will definitely return.

Awesome place! Beautiful building. Great food and coffees. I look forward to visiting many times in the future. Would be a good idea to have an option to make any bagel a salad and/or keto bagels. Ordered a salad with Reuben ingredients and it was delicious but really expensive. You should add an option to the menu for making any sandwich a salad or a bowl of some type. Just my thoughts. Well done overall.

Need to update online menu choices, prices are high
Bagel was really dry, chewy. I threw it out after i scrapped the little bit of feta and avocado off. Disappointed

My husband and I both meet friends here occasionally to enjoy a good coffee (finally- a mocha without too much sugar!) and bagel. Many of our friends and neighbors regularly come here to have a snack while working online, or simply to enjoy the view. We are so happy to have this family owned cafe in town!
