Murphy's Coffee & Bagel House

Stopped to get some pre-hike fuel today and was SO impressed with everything. The young woman running the drive through was quick and courteous. I got a Dirty Chai with almond milk and a Murphy Bagel.

She accepted my substitutions without blinking an eye (sub the tomato and onion for capers and pistachios!!)

The food was seriously delicious. I am pretty critical about professed NY bagels but even at 11am the bagel sandwich was perfectly chewy without being tough and the toppings were plentiful but still came together enough to take a bite without the fillings squishing out.

Be sure to ask for your sandwich cut in half!

It's been my wife's every Saturday morning breakfast spot! Amazing service and Food! I get a smash Avo on a pumpernickel bagel and an Australian cappuccino!

In town visiting an old friend and we decided to check this place out for a late breakfast bagel. The building and deck are very new and nice. Great view with a lake behind the place. Lox and cream cheese on a plain was pretty good. Very generous portion of the smoked salmon. My friend got a build your own cheese, egg and avocado on an everything. Right tasty. Will be sure to check it again.

I have never had a bad experience at Murphy’s. I meet people here all the time. My previous rating was user error.

Cute little restaurant. My wife and I went here today and throughly enjoyed what we got. I'm not much of a bagel person but I was quite happy with what I got and my wife really enjoyed hers. Looking forward to going again.

I am disappointed that I have not tried this place sooner after driving by it so many times during breakfast hours. Breakfast sandwiches or bagels, coffee, free WiFi, and great outdoor seating options with a pleasant lakeside view. The maple bacon bagel was fantastic with a ample serving of bacon. The loxs and cream cheese was also delicious. Aside from the regular outdoor seating, there is also covered outdoor seating available, which is nice. It appears to also be pet friendly as several customers had dogs with them outside. The staff does bring you orders to you, no matter where you are sitting. Overall a great a experience and will definitely be returning for the nice environment and excellent breakfast bagels.

Place just opened Feb 2020. Bagels are fantastic, service is so nice and warm. Atmosphere is quaint and enjoyable. The porch with the small pond/lake view is the best. Definitely a place to stop!

Love this place. We stop on our way to UVA hospital for appointments and treatments and it is always wonderful. Great friendly staff and always good coffee and food.

Beautiful aesthetic, tasty food, and friendly service. I also enjoyed being able to eat outside with a pleasant view.
