Located in old town Richmond this cafe and coffee shop provides an open and bright atmosphere that includes a lot of local business people, people on laptops working and a general flow of people at all ages. Came in with a group of 4 people and had coffee, tea and food. I got the avocado toast which was awesome and my co-worker got a panini sandwich which they also liked very much. While there large open door windows were opened and made for a great spring day. Chai tea was great and so was the coffee although one person had blackberry soda which they also enjoyed. Nice place to relax, eat and get some work done. I will be back and had a great experience. Recommend this as a nice place to visit when in downtown Richmond Virginia.

This place is super cute and in a really nice part of the city. I have gotten coffee at their other location before, but I had lunch this time. The curry Tuna salad sandwich was GOOD. I wish I had gotten a full size. This place is good for focusing and isn't too loud.

This place was great. The floor to ceiling doors that line the front of the building were open and so the atmosphere was great, this is probably about the time of year that the temperature is just right to have a nice breeze but still be warm. I got one of the Egg Scramblers and enjoyed it and feel like it is a great value. I appreciate that they have options for recycling, composting, and trash - I just wish more people actually put in the extra effort to efficiently categorize their items. I will be coming back.

This spot has good coffee and a great atmosphere. It’s clear they spent time on the decor to give it that farmhouse feel. The staff is also very friendly.
As others have stated, the food and drinks are on the pricey side. I would still recommend grabbing their coffee, but you can skip the breakfast. I ordered the Virginia Bacon & Egg sandwich and wasn’t the biggest fan given the $10 price tag and what you actually get. However, I did enjoy their homemade honey walnut cream cheese - it’s delicious!
The biggest problem is definitely the wait time. It took about 30 minutes for me to get my order. The cashier had her hands full taking orders and making drinks and the second employee was pushing out the food orders. They were doing the best they could, but a third employee was definitely needed.

Bit expensive. Person in charge of taking orders seemed confused and had to ask me to repeat my order several times. Matcha latte was made with oat milk for some reason and tasted bad. Sandwich was pretty good.

Enjoyed the VA bacon and egg panini. Cute little coffee shop, plenty of good items to choose from, including breakfast sandwiches and freshly baked goods, with gluten free and vegan options.

Great place to get coffee and kind of hang out. Nice open space with tables in big doors with windows facing Cary Street. The food is decent but nothing too expansive. The staff there is very friendly and cheerful. It feels like a very unique place.

Got the veggie sausage, I like the idea of a panini style breakfast sandwich, but this was just very dry. coffee tasted like it came from a moldy Keurig (not being dramatic). Vegetarians, just stick to getting your breakfast sandwich from lamplighter like everyone else does.
