Fresh delicious breakfast and good coffee. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and not swamped.
Interesting selection of other stuff to buy.

Tried this Cafe since it was close to my hotel and was told they could accommodate dietary restrictions. It was crowded and steamy or smoky, but there was an open table. Ordered a bagel, breakfast sandwich, latte, and kids milk. While I waited, I browsed the shelved. They sell postcards, wine and beer, chocolate, baked goods and snacks, etc. I was underwhelmed by the food, but I would give them a 2nd chance.

The egg & Vermont cheddar with chives sandwich was by far the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It honestly blew me away. The atmosphere is lovely too!

This is my second time trying this place. I hesitated to come back but I was hungry and my preferred place had closed. I got the tuna sandwich, $13. $15 with tax, plus $2 tip. It came with a pear and carrots I didn’t realize it would just be a raw pear; the description on the menu was different. Anyway I decided to get the chips instead and they literally threw the pear in the trash because I had taken it away from the counter. A health code thing. Food waste makes me so angry and they could tell I literally had not touched it in the 30 seconds since I sat down. Overall… overpriced food. $17! And I didn’t even get a drink. Pretentious atmosphere. Will never go back.

+1 star for the lovely ambience of this place!

Unfortunately, the drinks I’ve had here are all watery and tasteless. I love chai lattes and I feel like this place has the worst chai in town. I would recommend many other places (Riverbend, Blanchard) to get your specialty drink. And for $6+? Truly depressing.

Their sandwiches and soups are okay, but I’ve never been super impressed.

I only go here if I need to find a place to work in downtown and I don’t have a way to get to a place with better coffee. But please note that it also can sometimes be too busy to find a spot to sit down on both weekdays and weekends.

Ordered a simple matcha latte and got an actual latte that they poured green tea into. I politely explained how to properly make a matcha latte and the batista said, I think it's better my way and cuts the taste of the matcha tea🙄
I walked away and threw it in the trash and plan to never return.

Cozy breakfast place in the heart of downtown Richmond. Excellent coffee in a low key atmosphere. I would recommend the lox on toast. You might even be able to share it as the portion was large. New counter help made the ordering process a bit lengthy.

Ordered the Moroccan Mint Tea, and they let it steep too long before giving the order. The flavor was off, and I would not buy it again.

I ordered avocado toast and selected the chips for $9 the quality of the food was unbelievable.the slice of bread that was served was burnt and avocado was black not bright green I received a pinch of salted chips a corrot that was sliced into 4. We haven’t even discussed how long I had to wait for this undesirable food. And the person working the register goes to put on gloves and prepare food without washing his hands. Never again.

Espresso was burnt/overroasted/overprocessed and essentially undrinkable. Staff wasn't exactly surly, but not friendly either, particularly for the beginning of the day with no one in the shop yet. Shop is visually cute and welcoming, but there's definitely better coffee to be had nearby.
