Donnie D’s Bagels and Deli

Have been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! I had the Italian sandwich with the asiago bagel and the meat grilled. Wow. It was so delicious! I thought it was funny they serve bagel chips with it but I liked the concept and flavor. Ended up buying bagels to take home too. I will definitely come back!

My first time there on Saturday. Very flavorful selection of large bagels! I chose a cheddar / jalapeño, a Carmel apple crunch and a maple/ bacon to try out. Come home and lightly toasted about a 1/4 of each, took a bite of the best bagels I have ever eaten. Next I will try the sandwiches.

In a word a madhouse. Do not order a sandwich on Sundays apparently. Placed an order for 3 bagels and a sandwich. 20 minutes later was told they didn't have pumpernickel bagel for the sandwich...switch to rye, no biggie. Took another 25 minutes to make the sandwich.

It's my fault for ordering a sandwich, but watching the staff goof around on the grill line didn't make it better. Just seemed very unorganized.

Edit: past couple of times the coffee has been hot and ready I think the staff made a change from my last visit. Still the best bagels for a 100 miles.

I paid $6 dollars for 2 coffees and told them the coffee was out in both pots. We wait 45 min. and never got a cup and walked out. I was going to make it myself at one point. I understand that they were busy and you had the cashier running the phone and the front of the house as you had three guys in the back talking and making bagels. All he had to do was ask for some help to make the coffee quick. instead, we seat there with nothing to drink with our food. He started to make it as we were walking out. That just makes my blood boil because I love this shop, they have the best bagels for 100 miles but when you pay for something you expect to get it and not just brushed off for 45 min. We had a $30 ticket and tipped could we get some coffee at the very least.

The food was good they got every type of bagel possible with either cream cheese locks or anything else a deli would have they were delicious but the wait was extremely long but would still come back because we came on a Saturday

Extremely delicious food, awesome customer service, fair prices. They were super kind to me and that goes a long way! JP made me feel at home!

Never disappointed with anything I've gotten. Great variety of authentic bagels and to die for chocolate bacon doughnuts!!!

One of the best places around! Great selection for breakfast and lunch. Deli meats/cheese, sweets and alllll the bagels with so many varieties of cream cheese. Don't drive through Botetourt and not stop here.
