Donnie D’s Bagels and Deli

My family loves bagels. We came with family on New Year’s Eve. It was packed. They weren’t toasting regular bagels because it was so busy. They need more toasters because toasted bagels are delicious.

Fortunately their bagels tasted super fresh and delicious so my kids liked theirs even without them being toasted. My 5yo ate half of her cheddar bagel with cream cheese and my 7yo ate 3/4 of hers.

I got the lox bagel and it was delicious. The tomatoes and red onions bumped it up a bit and made it with all the different textures, etc.

My husband and his cousin both got the breakfast burrito and loved it.

Wish there was one closer to us. Come to Knoxville!

The little big Italian sandwich was amazing! I changed the bagel to a chedder bagel but everything esle was perfect as it came. It was HUGE and I ate half for both lunch and again at dinner and heated up later it was just as good! I would absolutely order again! The restuarant was very clean, including the restrooms. The cashier was very nice and and gave several recommendations.

I went again today for breakfast and had the black forest ham, egg, and cheese bagel and it was really good. The ham was a bit too salty but other than that very tasty and I would order again!

I love this place! Their bagels are delish and so is their in house made cream cheese! Boyfriend and I try to frequent this place as much as possible and are never disappointed.

Food is great, but the wait times are horrible. Consistently wait 20-30 minutes for a sandwich, regardless of how busy it is. They are out of ice in their soda machine EVERY visit and barely fill it up when it’s empty. Also, the local artist whose paintings are on the wall was in the store and walked up to our table and solicited her services if we wanted any art done. I’m not interested in a $700 painting while I’m trying to order lunch. Shocked that a 2nd location has opened downtown when the first can barely manage.

Isn't it wild how the taste, smell, and texture of food can be extraordinarily evocative, bringing back memories not just of eating food itself but also of place and setting?

Bagels remind me of my dad and his stories of living in NY.

Donnie D’s Bagels & Deli is delicious. The memories triggered were just icing on the cake. We will certainly be back.

The bagel sandwiches here are really delicious! The meat and cheese are boars head. The sauces are well thought out for the sandwiches. The bagels and toppings are fresh. I highly recommend this place.

Nice spot! I enjoyed the food, the vibe and the service. I had the chicken salad sandwich and a toasted bagel w/ cream cheese. Everything was tasty! The chicken salad is made fresh and very good. I added extra mayo. They give bagel chips on the side and they were so delish! Even tho the bagel was just plain, it was just right. It was kinda far but worth the scenic drive and I will be back!

We go for the fluffy 5oz NY bagels! Made my daughter an everything bagel sandwich for lunch & kids at school were crazy about it, even a teacher walked by and said how wonderful it smelled!!

While enjoying Freedom Fest at New Freedom Farm, I purchased a chicken salad bagel sandwich from the Donnie D's Bagels and Deli food truck. I have to say that this is the best bagel sandwich that I have ever eaten. The chicken salad was fresh and superbly moist and the bagel was perfectly crisp. As a baker, I've had some experience in making bagels and I have to say, "Well Done!", to Donnie D's for their craftmanship of their sandwiches!

Amazing Bagels and sandwiches, just like ones from New Jersey and NewYork City area !! They have so many types of Bagels 🥯 to choose from! Best bagels and sandwiches in the Roanoke area! And they also have the Vanilla & Chocolate Half Moon cookies, just delicious!
