Donnie D's BLT Sandwich on a Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel, Sub Cream Cheese for the Mayo, is literally our favorite bagel sandwich on the planet. That is a strong statement, and we mean it whole-heartedly.

We live in DC, but spend our holidays and summers in Troutville --- and Donnie's bagels put to shame anything we've had in the DC metro area. He's the real deal, his bagels are legit, and for real --- the BLT (and all its extra bacon) is phenomenal.

Don't hesitate. Go there now. Buy a sandwich and a handful of bagels to feed the family tomorrow morning. If it's worth it for us to drive 4-hours, it beyond worth it for you to drive across town!

I ordered a bunch of bagels to try later! They smell and look amazing. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagle for the ride home and it was SO GOOD!!!

Could not ask for a betting breakfast place. They give free water cups and I even got a free tiny muffin in my bag of bagels. Really good bagels and outstanding pork roll

I was immediately brought back to a NY Bagel Joint! The smells, the atmosphere, the shop, the people, everything about the place! I have found a childhood favorite place from NY here in southern VA! A must visit and repeatedly at that!

Excellent bagels. Tasty variety of cream cheeses. The flavored varieties of cream cheese we tried (scallion and maple walnut) had quite a lot of fillings in them so they had a strong flavor.

Finally a great bagel place comes to Roanoke Valley. I live in Cave Spring area and drove 30 miles to it. I'll do it again tomorrow. Worth every mile! Real NY bagel!
