Donnie D’s Bagels and Deli

Hands down, these are the best bagels in the Roanoke Valley. They always have a great fresh selection, and the customer service is top-notch.

Worst customer service experience this morning. I ordered and paid for 2 bakers dozen bagels. I was handed a bag the didn't look like it had 26 bagels in it. Assuming that people know how to do their job, I wasn't about to remove every single bagel and count them. When I got home, several miles away, I take the bagels out of the bags and sure enough I'm missing 7 bagels. I called them to see how they wanted to handle it. I'm told drive back and get my bagels. I say I think they should round it to a dozen to compensate me for my inconvenience. I'm told no several times. Morale of the story for me, don't repeat the mistake of getting bagels here, not worth the hassle. I know I won't return.

The bagels are delicious... Had to wait about 10 minutes for fresh cinnamon crunch to come out of the oven... Worth it

Coming from the NY metro area, this is very good. Highly recommended if you miss NY style bagels.

The only reason they don't get 5 stars is the everything bagel does not have salt.

Bagels are very doughy and need to be toasted.

Earlier today I stopped in bought lunch for My wife and I... I also purchased the 13 Bagel and cream cheese bundle.. I told the guy taking my order which bagels I wanted. A few hours later when I was home( I live an hour away from the store) I started sorting through the bagels so I could take them to work tomorrow and there were only 11 in the bag and they were mostly Cinnamon raisin ones, and I had only requested 3 of those. I spent $50 there and came home to the wrong order.

Usually, I like Donnie D's well enough, but this time I wasn't impressed. It was either the online ordering or the staff, as I didn't receive my order how I am used to receiving it. I went in to pick it up, asked a staff member, and the answer I got was essentially, "Sometimes we do it, sometimes we don't."

Underwhelming. I've never had that experience in person. So, go order in person. I paid $12 online for one bagel sandwich that was half of what I normally receive.

The food was good; however, the price is a bit too high for my liking to go back any time soon. Personally, I don't get why they serve bagel chips with a bagel. It seems a bit odd. The store was out of many bagels which is disappointing considering it's a bagel shop. Also, one of the employees were very rude and keep staring at us as if we were not supposed to be in there.
