Avoid this place at all costs. There are several other parks in the area and any of them will be better than here. This is a dust bowl with uneven sites and no, zero water pressure. We used our water tanks while here. The water you do get smells of bleach. Half of the washing machines are “out of order” and it costs $2 to start the dryers. $6 later and your clothes still aren’t dry. Don’t dare complain to management about anything, you get a lecture about how horrible the guest are. Even the gas pumps at the gas station that’s owned by this “Resort” don’t work half of the time due to no maintenance. Don’t let this place kill your vacation!

Great location to Big Bend National Park. Clean room, no bugs. Friendly staff and patrons. However... go with low expectations. They said basic TV channels —our room got two fuzzy sports channels and CNN on an old school big box TV. Toilet flushed—barely. After two nights, front desk person said we weren’t supposed to flush the TP. But not a sign in the room stating such. Room was tired—no draperies, just blinds that let in light. Door had a gap large enough for a snake to come in. AC/heat was like a jet engine in the room. Faucets and sink were rusty, missing hardware, and lime scale filled. Shower needed a flow restrictor. Bedspread was from 1970, and the sheets didn’t stay in place. Blanket hung over one side of the bed by a single inch. (Local restaurant food was mediocre at best.) If you want to do Big Bend right, bring an RV or tent.

We had a unique, one of a kind experience at Big Bend Resorts and Adventures.

As frequent visitors to Terlingua and BBNP, we have come to learn the area and the accommodations fairly well. Remember folks, you’re in the middle of the desert, several hundred miles from any major city. Things are rustic, campy and dusty buts that’s part of the whole experience. In fact I’ll be quick to say, if you need fancy accommodations, go to Marfa.

We tasked Big Bend Resorts and Adventures with hosting our wedding at their facility and the team absolutely KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! We are beyond grateful.

Raoul was excellent to deal with regarding guest accommodations, Tracie, Marnell, and Cheryl were wonderful in helping us host our party, and Chef Richard’s spread truly exceeded our expectations (and that’s coming from a fellow chef). All of the other staff we encountered were lovely and hospitable. My wife and I and our guests couldn’t have left happier or more satisfied.

Our room wasn't as clean as I would've liked. There was a bar of soap in the shower that was left from the previous guest. Makes me wonder if the shower was cleaned before we arrived. The coffee pot was dirty as well. On the plus side, the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. It was also nice to be so close to Big Bend NP.

The location was good. The service sucked. They were rude.

This place is very close to the Big Bend entrance. Beds were in very bad shape. Room was not very clean and when we arrived the air conditioner was not on in a 114 degree weather , we had to wait forever for the room to cool. The only convenience it that it’s close to Big Bend entrance and the Terlingua ghost town. I will not go back again just because after long hikes I want to sleep in a clean room and comfortable bed.

KIND employees, access to necessary amenities, and no fuss. Lovely experience with this business. I actually stayed at a campsite up the way and not at this motel. They allowed me access to their WiFi for me to take a job interview call at no charge. They have public bathrooms in the back that are clean with coin-operated showers and the front desk has plenty of quarters to provide change. They also have lots of local information about food and things to do. Very kind staff, I highly recommend giving this place your business bc they are the kind of place that actually deserves it! They're located only 5 minutes from the entrance to Big Bend as well.

I am giving this “resort”one star because I have to in order to put a review out. This hotel is horribly outdated. The rooms are dirty old dusty there is nothing supplied. The mattress is from the 1950s and the TV is may be from the 1980s. Absolutely no money has went in to updating the rooms or the resort itself. To even use the term resort is mind-boggling, this is no resort this is not even a motel. We had several issues and tried to resolve them with the manager however he was rude and uncaring. The room was left filthy it was not ready in a timely fashion. The national park itself is absolutely gorgeous and wonderful place to visit but not if you have to stay here. There was absolutely no hospitality provided. I recommend not staying at this location at all. If you have stayed here in the past and feel the same way please also submit a review and complain as well so that the owner of this establishment will be forced to upgrade.

We stayed in the RV park. Full hookups but were warned that the water supply was not potable. We used our on board water. Everything but the amount of shade was better than we anticipated. Camping out of season was even less crowded than you would think surrounded by such majestic beauty. I understand the appeal even considering the 110° days

The best bits about this park is the great location for going to the National Park and the ghost town and the cost our rate was $25.00 per night. The rest is average or bad. The lots are close to each other and they seem to want to cram everyone into one area even though the park is quite large and there were lots of open pads. The bathrooms are completely inadequate for the size of park they are serving in the ladies there were 2 toilets and although you see staff out cleaning regularly, they were disgusting they stank and on the 3 occasions I used them they were filthy. The laundry on the other hand is large but when I went in there out of the 20 or so washers and dryers probably 40% were broken. The store is extremely expensive as was the cafe. We tried the breakfast buffet once and we're not impressed. The pizza was good but the fries I had with it were pieces of crispy potato but somehow saturated in fat, not edible. There is no dog walk and many people didn't pick up after their pets so there was poop everywhere, the management didn't seem to even try to encourage it as they didn't even sell poop scoop bags in the store, in fact the store didn't sell much of anything just beer and snacks. The staff are ok not overly friendly and i was never served by the same person twice in the shop. Also the maintenence/cleaning staff drive around on golf scooters at full speed regardless of what or who is around them. All in all it was average park, I highly recommend stocking up on supplies prior to heading to the area as everything is very overpriced.
