The place we stayed the window blinds had a huge selection out so anyone could see inside our place- not a fan. I placed 2 towels to cover and everything was good. The employees are super friendly and the place was clean but no resort. I would stay here again. The place is convenient to everything.

This is the most discussing hotel or should I say motel we have every stayed at. Even the door to the room would not close correctly and there was no security lock. I made the reservation by phone the day before arrival and specifically asked the front desk person about a pet fee since we had 2 pets with us. The front desk clerk said that the hotel was pet friendly and there was no pet fee. We travel with our 2 dogs and always ask specifically about a pet fee. It took me 4 days and countless phone calls to finally reach someone who could help me, it seems like the 2 people we talked to first couldn't even find our reservation. They charged $25 per pet per night when the website that I looked at today (6 weeks after the stay) says $20. When you are on the road and in a remote location it is not possible to get to a website for information and that is why I specifically asked about a pet fee. We will never go back to Big Bend because it is checked off our To Do List but I really hope you would consider this review when making a reservation at this Resort - and that's another thing. This is not a Resort it is a very very old, smelly motel and you should be aware of all the issues it has. It get an F- from us.

This is not a resort at all, but a campground with couple cabins, we were told at the front counter they couldn’t help us with room issues because they were closing an hour earlier than what was posted. Once in the shower it took all of two minutes for the water to be ankle deep in the tub as it would not drain, the toilet was constantly plugged and needed plunging. All in all STEER CLEAR

Probably one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed at. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, it wasn't clean, the furniture was disintegrating, and had cigarette burns in the sink. To top it off, the shower had zero water pressure, was basically a trickle, and temperature was constantly changing/mostly cold. We honestly felt uncomfortable in the room and debated driving hours late into the night to find another town to stay in. To think we paid over $130 for this experience disgusts me. Also love that we paid a $28 pet deposit fee when that money is obviously not going to making sure the rooms stay clean. Unless we got the worst room of the property (#13) this is the furthest thing from a resort I can think of.

Simple but has all the amenities you could ask for in the area. Restaurant next door that serves breakfast and dinner.

We stayed at the hotel, everyone was very friendly the room was clean the bathroom and towels were clean. It is in the middle of the desert we were not expecting luxurious accomidations but it was a nice room comfortable to sleep and take a good shower. Café had a good breakfast and the little restaurant across the street Chile Peppers had great food and sweet server. Park was close by and we had a wonderful day at the park.

Very old lodge. Bad smell in room. Many hairs in bed. Other person’s clothes in bath room. I don’t want to give one star.

We spent one night at the motel. The room was 134.47. It was as described basic which was fine. We are not motel snobs. It was a very great location to park entrance. The room was dated. Linens clean. Bed not comfortable. My husband actually slept in truck because air conditioner sounded like generator. Not clean enough for guest. Couple of things under bed. Box springs bad shape. If we were too visit Big Bend again and we hope too I would pick another place even if it meant driving an hour. Big Bend park was beautiful. I am puzzled at why they don’t clean things up as far as lodging. Terlingua was great location for park.

Not what I would call a “resort”. It was the only place available so we stayed here 4 nights while visiting Big Bend. The location was good but this place desperately needs updating. The rooms were sad. The bathroom was very small and cramped. The most disturbing - the window had no curtains and there was a large (6”?) square cut out of the blinds. Our room looked out on the parking lot and the highway so we had zero privacy. We covered the hole with a page from a magazine. I noticed at least one other room with a similar problem. There was no ice maker. If you wanted ice you could go to the convenience store next door and they would give you a small bag - about enough to fill one ice bucket. The restaurant was open for breakfast and lunch but after looking at it, we opted for the Chili Pepper Cafe across the highway. I would guess they were suffering from the Covid economic crisis but it looks like it hasn’t received much attention in many years.
