The location is one of the best options for BBNP, but the cabins are in poor condition. They are renovating next year; so, hopefully that is helpful.

Old, old building called the Lodge. If you can find somewhere else to stay do it! Mattress didn’t fit the frame and caused potential for leg injuries. Bath was from the 1960’s with a constant leaking faucet. Door barely closed. The best thing I can say about this motel is no bed bugs!

From the moment we called to make reservations for the RV park, Tracy was exceptionally informative and helpful for preparing for the journey to Big Bend. When we arrived and walked into the office which has a gift shop and smelled great, she gave us a lot of great tourist information. Our camping spot was quiet for 2 nights. Then Spring Breakers rolled in, but everyone was great, for the most part. There is a gas station, restaurant (which we didnt use) a convenience store and laundry on site. I would have given 5 stars, but parking lot is in horrible condition, though we did see a man filling in spots. We never had any problems with water, electric or sewer at our site. Also, the laundry facilities are poor. Most machines are out of order and dirty. It's the only one within 75 miles or so, so used by non-guests of the business. The current ownership is working hard to improve what seems to have been an issue in the past. KUDOS! We would for sure stay here again.

We stayed in a motel room here. It was in the middle of no where so wasn't sure what to expect. We found it to be, less than what we expected. The room had barely any AC. There was dust all over. The room was tilted down towards the back end of the room. Can hear neighbors talking in adjacent rooms. Musky smell to the room. Fridge didn't work well either. Shower was a fight with hot and cold water. We have stayed in one motel worse but this was pretty sketch. Staff was friendly at check-in though, only time I saw one.

I feel ir is too expensive .the housing fourniture seems pretty old.

We used the campground. The sites are large with full hookups. There are trees on most sites. There is no wifi. There is no play equipment for the kids. The staff is friendly. The bathroom is clean, but they charge $2 for a 6 minute shower. If you take a shower in your rig, you can use all the water you want with, with no extra charges.

The Motel is in the middle of the desert, many many miles from any real town, we were not expecting luxurious accommodations. Other lodging options (there are only a few) were twice the price and many had a two night minimum. So bearing that in mind, I gave it 3 stars, the furniture was old and beat up. The wall were thin, so we could hear our neighbors talking. The porch going down the front and back of the motel is wooden so you hear people walk by your room. We were so tired after a day in the park we were not bothered. The room was clean and bug free. The desk clerk was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Good location with direct access to the park. Could actually see Santa Elena Canyon from our front porch. Out in the desert, didn't expect any 5 star accommodations. Beds were comfortable enough after long day of hiking. Bath tub stopper couldn't seal off tub so a hot soaking was a no go, and the shower water pressure was poor. Hot water was scalding hot, which suggests the hot water heater is too small for the load and cranked up to the max to accommodate demand. If you have kids here, be careful. Air conditioning worked alright but was very loud, which actually helped because my roommate was a snorer. Walls are paper thin... you could carry on a conversation with the people next door if you had to. Don't know why they had a "Do Not Disturb" sign for the front door, no staff ever came for any reason anyway. You have to go to the office to get clean towels, and the restaurant was closed while we were there because the cook was out of town. Deceiving call this place a "resort"... it is not a destination type place by any means, simply a rest stop for your Big Bend and Terlingua activities.

Lovely time here , very nice workers and very reasonable prices all things considered.

Five friends and I stayed at the Big Bend Resort for two nights in Feb. of 2022. Right off the bat it is not big, and it surely is not a resort. An extremely overpriced dump, is what it is. They maintain due to Covid, they do not make your bed, tidy your room, or give you fresh towels. They will supply fresh towels if you go and ask. I understand the Virus has changed our way of living. That being said there was still coffee in the pot from the previous guests, and the floors and room were filthy. We were afraid to take our shoes off for fear of catching something. Then to top it off they messed up out bills and were unable to get it sorted out before we left. We wound up paying for an extra night. Billed for three nights and we stayed two. I will sleep outdoors before I ever stay there again.
