Snagged a room last minute when everything else was booked. I knew when booking that it is a motel and it is nicer than I expected given the negative reviews. The room is spacious and clean. I appreciate being able to park right next to my room. Warm water with good pressure. Heat and AC. Quiet and nice seating area outside to hang out. We've enjoyed the stay. Great location. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. WiFi in the room and we were almost the last room.

This place is a DUMP! Needs MAJOR updating. OLD and in poor shape. (motel inn rooms) Limited sockets for charging. Paper thin walls. One of the first red flags was the plunger sitting in the tiny bathroom. The toilet took forever to flush-going round and round and round. Tiny room. Blinds all broken. Basically in a state of disrepair period. The cafe is located in the Alon gas station next door. Coffee like brown water. Avocado toast yucky. Pancakes good. Service there ok but just going through the motions. One front desk person was really gruff. The other nice and helpful. Close to park entrance. They were good about our cancelling 3 additional nights without charge. Best place to eat was Chili Peppers cattykorner across the highway. Large RV area. Stay at this place if you are DESPERATE. Bring your own soap, shampoo etc.

Was not worth $150.00 Would have given 1 star but the night host was super nice. Just overpriced. Stayed at better motels half the price. Sheets smelt weird. Lots of cracks in the drywall and tile. Furniture was nice though.

Stayed here during the thanksgivings with my friend and colleague. They have a good setup. Pretty old but it's good considering the location. The whole area is dusty (off course we are in Texas outback) but the room and washrooms were very clean. Many reviewers have mentioned about water supply issue but we got hot water the full time we were there. They are a tad expensive though. Also one thing I didn't liked was that there was no wifi available in room. They have only near the front office it's good and bad at same time. Good: since we are here to relax and enjoy we should have some cut off time from gadgets. Bad: since we are not having any CELLULAR network we are completely cut out from outside world so we cannot reach anyone.
PS. All the floors are wooden and connected. It creaks and you can hear your neighbors voices but very muffled.

We stayed in the RV portion of this campground, and honestly we don’t have very high expectations and are pretty low-key people. However, for $50 a night, guests should be GIVEN the Wi-Fi password. When we checked in, I asked for the password and the lady at the front desk said that SHE would have to type it into our phones and any time that we needed to connect to the internet (which was spotty and sluggish), we would have to come back to the front desk for her to type the password in for us. Um….it’s 2021. Get decent internet and share the password with your PAYING guests. I know you can do both things, because the Chili Pepper cafe that is literally across the street has lightening fast internet AND the password posted prominently for their guests (also, excellent food and great service). Additionally, for $50 per night, guests should have access to the showers. My husband went to take a shower but stopped when he saw that for 3 minutes of water, he would have to pay $2 in QUARTERS. And that isn’t even the worst part…the worst is that, when your 3 minutes runs out and you are still covered in soap, you have to literally get out of the shower, walk over to the pay station, and use your dripping wet hands to plunk in 8 more quarters before you run back to rinse off the soap in the remaining 2:30 minutes of water.
We only stayed here out of necessity but honestly I could have had the same experience just parking our van on the side of the road and using our generator…and saved my $50.

Pretty old style motel. Good location with easy access to the parks. Could be cleaner and in desperate need of an update… but it fits the charm of the area.

Well maintained full hookups, friendly staff. The store, reception and play room areas, as well as bathrooms, were sparkling clean and professional.

But no wifi for RVers (wifi only inside their building).

Also, very dusty. We stayed here as well as the Paisano and Study Butte RV parks, and the latter two were nowhere near as dusty, even though they are very close by. This resort has an unpaved dirt ground area that is just too big. Our RV and car were caked in dust. They need to pave (or grass) at least some of the entrance areas around the gas station.

We recommend the other two RV parks first, but if they are not available, then staying here is a decent option with the above caveats.

Wow what a surprise, Terlingua is a very majestic place, Big Bend Resort have plenty of rooms, RVs and tent camping sites, your also in the only gasoline station within 90 miles, they also have a great restaurant to serve. We will be coming back that's for sure.

The power and water went off to the whole RV park while it was 94 degrees outside. I went inside the office to ask the receptionist what was going on and she was somewhat snide and I gave me a vague answer on what they were doing to work on it. People leave their rvs and trailers to do things and leave their pets, within 30 minutes it was over 100 degrees in the RV. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. It doesn't take much to be accommodating, especially to paying customers.

This park is well located to access both the national park and the state park. It's been there a while. Wifi is only available at or near the office. Dust and dirt but then everything around there is dust and dirt. Fuel is close by. Food is close by. A good store is just down the road for your general needs. I do not know anything about the other campgrounds in the area so I have nothing to compare to. It just did not rate more than 3 stars but it was a place to stay.
