Every time I visit Jackson, Tennessee I stop here for great country cooking. I got a vegetable plate. Corn, great northern beans, crackling bread and greens.....the 💣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love Old Country Store but the service has gone downhill. There was no person checking food/ salad bar. I had to ask server to check on fried chicken and vegetables as I had stood and waited for someone to come out..I had to ask lady about fresh banana pudding as it was almost completely empty. I waited over 10 minutes and when she brought it out she said she had to make it herself as no one in kitchen had one ready..
My husband has stopped wanting to go there to eat due to lack of service and food bar not being kept up...

Buffet was good! Simple, filling, and tasty with all the Southern favorites. One thing, walking to the restroom you have to walk through the other restaurant. Walking through there smelled like fried rotten fish grease and was pretty unpleasant.

I went to Dixie café to order plates to go. Catfish chicken spaghetti sweet potatoes green beans greens hotwater cornbread sweet tea and a slice of chocolate cake. When I say every bite was on point, it was extremely delicious the ladies were friendly and what ever day i was having, they made my day sunshine and rainbows. I give them a 99 out of 100 because I can't wait till the drive thru construction begins....keep up the great food friendly service and great vibes. Thanks for making my day better.

Food is delicious. Went to the breakfast buffet and the staff was friendly and the food was great. Biscuits are fluffy and not dry. Bacons are crisp. They even have fruit for a dessert after all the breakfast food. Only thing to remember is that you have to prepay before you can actual go in and serve yourself.

I was passing through on a cross-country journey when my truck broke down 13 miles from this place. I came here stressed and a little tired. That all changed when I walked in and was greeted with smiles and warmth and hospitality. It was genuine. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Kat is an amazing representative and ambassador for this place. Everyone who played a role in my meal, from the person bringing me lemonade and checking on me, to the young lady at the register, they were all just so genuinely kind. But, down to the nitty-gritty: the food was off the charts amazing! Down-home. Simple buffet-style and delicious. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! to the chef. If you’re passing through Jackson, Tennessee, or if you break down nearby, then you must stop here. 😂 You will not be disappointed. Thank you everyone at Brooks Shaw’s!

Awesome southern comfort food this place takes you back to grandma's table. We can't get enough of it. If you leave hungry it's your fault.

I'm always satisfied with this buffet. I have been more times than I could count. But....today was different. The food options were minimal. There were 2 pans of sweet potatoes...2 pans of dressing etc..normally there are different food choices in each pan. Most of the pans were empty so I had no idea what the choice was. Took forever to replenish the food and I never seen spaghetti filled back. There was no chicken on the salad bar as i used to remember getting. No club crackers for salad. Saltine crackers were the only option or croutons in which there were none in the container. I was highly disappointed which has never happened. Our server was great though. She still got her deserving tip. Brooksies Barn for me next time when I want a country buffet.

This is the Casey Jones buffett.
The only place I know of that makes Yesterday's spaghetti and Cotnbrrad hotcakes Everyday.

They have room for about 6 Simi trucks to park as well as ample parking for regular cars.
If you are traveling along interstate 40, exit 81A is where you need to stop for lunch or dinner.
You won't be disappointed at this little piece of History along your path.

Candy from childhood here, candy cigarettes and gum cigars 🤣 Plenty others too. They have a southern style buffet restaurant, ice cream shoppe, and a pay by the plate to go style food spot too. Even has some heatable food options in the refrigerator and freezer there. They even have a little woolworth stool display, marking an important time in history. There's also a gift shop. The place is worth stopping even just to checkout all the fun old antiques.
