Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store

The food is delicious & the service is usually really nice but it is an extremely old bldg. I think they want to keep the ole timey ruggedly look, but the bathrooms are horrible, nasty, out dated & my last couple visits it was leaking rain inside & they had buckets out...
It is a tourist area for out of towners so I know the funds are there to upgrade ; but greed won't let them shut down to do so...

Was very disappointed. Most food was slightly warm, some hot dishes cold. Fried foods were extremely greasy. Wait person never showed to clean off plates or refill drinks until we were leaving. Wont return.

Stopped in just to look around. They have some pretty cool stuff. Bought a few things.

Nice little country store and a very well stocked buffet.

It's that old Country feeeling for me. When you step Inside, it takes you back to a time when things were simpler. The food tastes like grandma's cooking. I love eating at Old Country Store 😋

Food was great, home cooking. Ribs, fried catfish, smoothed chicken, Fri chicken and the sides sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, fries, hot water corn bread.
Was so full didn't make it to the cobblers and pudding.

Really cool place with great southern food.
It looks like a cracker barrel with real props.
But it tastes like Grandma's cooking whether you get it from the buffet or you get it to go.

If you are looking for a good wholesome meal without the randomness of a corporate restaurant then give this place a try.

Staying at a nearby motel within walking, the wife and I decided to mosey on over to Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store for breakfast. Our 1st time being in there was a blast. It was or we choose the breakfast buffet. The setup to pay was a little different than expected.
Anyway, the breakfast buffet, for us, was delicious, no doubt! Trust me, I stuffed my face with 3 plates/trips of food. Yes, it was way to much to say BUT it was worth it. The waitress limited me to 2 OJs which was odd but understandable.
If I’m ever in this part of town, again, I’ll make an effort to stop in here for breakfast early an the morning.

Back with family after the secure has been updated. Did and service still great, I miss the ice cream machine... We were there when 3 tour buses arrived, so they seemed to have some trouble keeping up.
The bathrooms were a bit of a mess as well.

I haven't eaten here in years we visited the area today for the petting zoo
