It’s hot, it’s clean, good service, and ok/good food. It’s definitely American food, everything is from out of a can or premade out of a box. The potato salad tastes like grocery store potato salad. Green beans are mush in your mouth over cooked from out of a can. The turkey is deli sliced turkey. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, it’s just not very homemade. I could have went to the grocery bought a bunch of canned stuff and heated it up. When I go out to eat, I expect food to be made and cooked at the restaurant, not heated up from a can. It’s not 0 stars and it’s not 5 stars. It warms the belly and the food is all familiar.

Every experience I've had here has been great. From the awesome breakfast buffet, to lunch and supper. Bring an appetite and try a little bit of everything. You won't be disappointed.

Dined at the Old Country Store today for my Pre Mother's Day dinner. Everything on the buffet was delicious as it always is. I enjoy dining in and using the Dixie Cafe for my carry out orders.

The service is impeccable, the food is great!! BUT, the atmosphere seems lacking!! I know what it was like before, and the store is severely lacking !! It's gone from the old timey store to just a cookie cutter t-shirt store with a Deli taking up one third of the store that is empty most of the time!! And the restaurant that takes up the other third trying to compensate!!

On the plus side, the catfish on the buffett was meaty and breaded nicely; Salad bar was nice with plenty options. I always like the historic feel of places like these. Dining area was decently kept up, table service was brief but efficient enough. Roof leaked but they at least had the appropriate signs and buckets placed, buffett area was kind of messy, food wasn't at a decent temperature. It was just a bad overall experience, and for someone just travelling through, unless you come for the "Town" area and the history behind it, I would pass. The Ice Cream bar looked great but I didn't imbibe. Might make a future visit but not planning on it anytime soon.

I really enjoyed the good food.. the catfish is amazing, I can't believe I found hominy on the buffet. Janice was my server so sweet ..I was visiting in Tennessee and googled this gem... please go and eat it's amazing. They also sell candy knickknacks, homemade icecream..

Came across this place as an added bonus while we were looking for the Casey Jones museum. The meal was reasonably priced and the food was very good. The people running the place were very friendly and courteous. Definitely worth a try.

We have stopped here several times over the years, but this is the last time. The waitress were amazing, but the food was nasty, old, and been setting. This place used to be packed and have an hour wait. Not any longer. $20 a person for a buffet definitely not worth stopping.

Me and my friend ate here tonight and to say the least we were highly disappointed. our service was slow and the main buffet sucked in my opinion. The only good thing about the meal was the salad. Your lucky to get 2 stars from me.
