Reminiscent (almost) of the famous "Browns" that was in Benton, Arkansas, before Covid convinced them to retire. Good food and selection. Not bad for a senior, all you can eat lunch buffet at $12.95. Nice General Store, too.

The cafe was wonderful. Corn bread excellent and lady’s at the cafe were so nice. The store not so much. I bought three gifts for over $138 and asked the cashier to put three of the smaller gift type bags( with handles) in my bag because I was giving my purchases as gifts. I bought cards there also thinking I was all set for my gifts to give. She gave me 3 cheap brown bags. She seemed to be irritated that I did not want to give 2% of my purchase amount to the community fund raiser. They had to have the manager come and override the automatic charge for that. First purchase in Tennessee left a sour taste for me.

This place has some delicious southern food. Their buffet dishes are all really good, but my favorite are the fried catfish, the fried chicken, the greens, and sweet potatoes. If you are in Jackson, you really should stop.

Love their milkshakes and the food is pretty good they r just expensive. Paid $60 for 3 people to eat at the buffet with only water as the drinks and then another $5.50 per milkshake. Other then the prices they r great and I love the little gift boutique and candy shop they remind me of cracker barrel.

I had never been to a buffet like this! (good ol' South food) It was busy but the staff did the best they could. Absolutely delicious!

Foods are old sometimes and Dixie Cafe staff look dirty. They flirt with most of the men
and think they should be tipped for their mediocre service. If Old Man Shaw lived it wouldn't be running the way it is being run. Food just isn't the same anymore. Don't get me wrong, some of the employees are nice.

Overall I enjoyed this trip back into my childhood. Though many things are different on the inside, overall the changes are positive. The reorganization offers several benefits and much more ease of access. The food was well prepared and the staff is always attentive and friendly. I missed some of the soulfulness in the menu, but with the health considerations of the majority of our society, I understand why there is a little less soul and a lot more healthy options in mind.

The Buffet is amazing! The person who greeted us was very friendly and encouraged me to enroll in your points program. I am very thankful that he did. I plan to be back again and again.

Nice southern style buffet restaurant. Right off the exit . Nice friendly staff . Candy souvenirs and ice cream shop inside . Things was fresh and refilled fast . Corn bread made in front of you ! Plenty of parking and it’s free . Yes it’s handicap accessible . Very kid friendly . Great for small or large parties . Open daily .
