Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store

Stopped in on our way to VA. It was a weekday so there was no buffet but they did have a cafeteria style breakfast set up on the other side. The lady's working over there were amazing! For 9.99 , we got 2 meats, a bunch of eggs, another side ( we had hashbrown casserole...it was amazing) and biscuits and gravy! SO. MUCH. FOOD! And it was so good! I would definitely recommend this little stop. And the store is a perfect spot for souvenirs!

I really loved the buffet we had today. I got a seniors reduction and the vegetable soup I took was the best I’ve ever tasted in my whole life. The range of salads was beyond belief and the fruit salad dessert was amazing.

I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lunch buffet . Southern style soul food. We stumbled on this Diner. Fried chicken , bbq bologna, roasted turkey, meat loaf, mashed potatoes, peach and berry cobbler. And so on. The price on that Tuesday 10.99 Seniors 8.99. If your on the I40 , Nashville to Memphis, I recommend highly. Jackson, Tennessee . It's at the Casey Jones Railroad Museum .

So delicious! Some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had ANYWHERE. Our waitress was super friendly and the gift shop is pretty neat as well. I love the artwork too.

We loved this little country store and restaurant! We stopped to charge our Tesla and found this place. We had breakfast, the food on the buffet was delicious. The country store was nice. I highly recomend this place!! We were there at breakfast, and did not get to try the Ice cream shop.

This Old Country buffet is really great adventure. The food is simple and yet very delicious. The cornbread is made freshly in front of us!

I swore last time that I wouldn't come back. Well after calling ahead and hearing a very tempting dinner buffett line up, I did. Will not make this mistake ever again. Every meat I tried was dry as sticks. Even at 4 pm when things are just getting served up on the line. The floors and tables were atrocious. If you can't keep what people do see clean, the gears in my head turn to what the kitchen could be like. I tried to eat my fill but after one plate and a few bites of another I had to leave after noticing something growing off of a napkin under a wiggly table beside me. Not to mention various over head electrical hazards. For as popular as this business is, you would think they'd do better.

There were a number of shops and mini-restaurants inside - plentiful buffets, a gift shop, and even an ice cream parlor. During lunch time, it can get pretty crowded. There were Tesla Superchargers and EV chargers in the parking lot. Railroad museum and handmade gift shops share the parking lot. Ice cream was delicious, and so thick that you could turn your cup upside-down and not have any fall out.

Finally, I made it to the restaurant and was underwhelmed. Maybe lunch/dinner is better, but breakfast was just ok.

The food was delicious what your able to find. It's buffet style eating. Food trays were empty and refilling them seem to be very slow process. Meat trays were empty and appeared to have been for quite some time by looking at the bottom of the pans. Guess you should get there right when the doors open so you get a chance of getting any meats. No comments on recommendation.
