The Coffee Shelf

I drink black coffee. The coffee was ok, but it was a bit too bitter for my liking. My wife really liked her white mocha. Pastries were nothing special] but good.

They truly have the best coffee. Very nice just need more Baristas on staff . To help makes drinks during their peak hours. I would recommend this place 10 times over. I love the coffee Shelf

Great atmosphere! Great service! Love the owner! Awesome coffee! Sometimes the events aren’t as exciting as they could be. More people should spread the word about this cool little place!

Great atmosphere, owner is very friendly and sociable; coffee comes in fun and wonky combinations with storybook names and you can get your regular Americano if you want as well. Yes to whipped cream!

Coffee and pastries are so good, but for some odd reason every time I go into these place I don’t get treated the same as the customers before me... example I hand my money and receive my change on the counter( I still tip) then today I hand my card to pay and receive it back smacked on the counter in front of me (I still tip!)... the lady I’m front of me order the same thing I ordered and was asked if she wanted whipped cream but when I ordered I wasn’t asked.. no big deal, but I did want it and didn’t get any. Not sure if it was because of my skin color or what but the owner always acts this way when I come in. My friend and I tested it out to see if he would do the same to her seeing that her skin color was like his and guess what?? He handed her card to her and not smacked on the counter... it’s just the little things but I don’t feel welcome when I come here... great coffee and pastries though I just wish that I could receive the same respect!

Passing thru town, we stopped to get some coffee and ended up getting a Frappuccino. They were so nice and polite. And I will say without hesitation, THE BEST FRAPPUCCINO EVER!!!

One of my favorite spots in Chapin. Jerry and his staff are quick to please. You can get tasty drinks and bestselling books. He even special ordered a title for me.

As a self admitted coffee snob I was searching for a better coffee experience in Chapin. I went with 3 of my coffee snob friends and found their cappuccino exceptionally good. All 4 of us agreed we have a new spot. Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.
