The Coffee Shelf

I am giving this business a five star rating simply for the fact that the owner responds to every single person‘s comment/complaint. I read every single one of them just now and I can tell that the owner cares very much about the business as well as the customers. In my opinion, this shows a lot about the type of establishment The Coffee Shelf is! I am going to stop in more often now that I know this! I love supporting businesses that care and respect their customers comments/ complaints! Great coffee!!! I do agree with a previous comment...I don’t do sweet pastries either! Man, I would love to see premium bagels (NY style 😊) served here! I can’t get a good bagel anywhere around here!!! Love the Coffee Shelf!!

I went to The Coffee Shelf for the first time the other day and it will not be my last! I just moved to the area and was told The Coffee Shelf was a wonderful place for a coffee and books; they didn't disappoint. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helped me pick a perfect drink. Excellent staff and quality coffee. This will be my go to spot for coffee and pastries. I highly recommend.

I usually am not that impressed with the local coffee shop. But this one was excellent. The coffee was great, not to sweet, and plenty hot. I had a pumpkin spiced latte. If your in Chapin make sure to stop and get re-charged. They are also a cool bookstore, so stop and relax and read a book and sip something delicious. The barista was also Super helpful and friendly.

I was very happy with my experience. Coffee was good, hot chocolate for the kids was wonderful, muffins and danishes to go around were very good, seemed homemade as well. Lovely atmosphere, i loved walking into a library type area with a FANTASTIC selection of reading material for sale, including a childrens section. Lots of seat, very friendly staff. Overall, 5 stars.

Had a special coffee for st Patrick's day. Relaxed atmosphere although very busy. Current books by popular authors for sale.

Great coffee choices . Clever theme. Fast service. These folks are pretty great. Pro tip: use the same card each time and get rewarded after so many points. The reward program doesn’t have a card or associate your phone number, just your card number (as far as I know).

This little place is a top-notch small town café. I really like their atmosphere and theme. The Staff has always been friendly and helpful. I occasionally lament that they do not have a billboard of single origins to sample (yet), but they do offer a consistent, high-quality espresso that I look forward to on lunch breaks and on my home commute. I highly recommend you give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
