My favorite coffee place ever - perfect frappes, fun environment, friendly and respectful staff. I live in Clemson and will drive 2 hours for this coffee. Prices are worth the drinks and the menu is easy to order from as well.

One of my favorite coffee places!!! The Coffee Shelf makes the best Coffee Mocha Freeze drinks! The owner & staff have always been so friendly. The prices are very reasonable and they offer Military Discount. Highly recommend trying one of Coffee Freeze drinks when you ever in Chapin!

Jerry, you know how much I love The Coffee Shelf and your amazing staff. You are an awesome mentor to each one of these young adults and watching them grow makes me smile. It's like seeing family every day. The coffee and the sweet treats are the best ever but none of this compares to the professionalism of you and your team and their eagerness to serve this crazy coffee girl. It doesn't matter how long the lines, y'all are always on top of it. I recommend The Coffee Shelf every chance I get and love bringing in new folks to share in your special place. AND for those who don't know, you have a great book selection! I hope, holding a book to read never goes out of style. I'm your biggest fan!!

Local favorite; always a cozy environment and pleasant experience, great drinks and charming concept for naming them after literary/fictional characters. When I lived closer I would stop in several times a week, but I still make the twenty minute drive every now and again.

absolutely love the coffee shelf!! first, it’s a great place to do homework or have a small meeting and they offer a great selection of new and used books. the baristas are very helpful and always are smiling and look happy to be there. their coffee is consistently made well - it’s a good balance with the flavors and coffee used. i’ve never had a bad experience here and they are consistent with how they make each every one of their drinks.

This cute coffee shop is amazing! Jerry, the owner, is super friendly and can make all sorts of specialized coffees. They have pastries that are mouth-watering. I love the book displays and it's a wonderful place to work or chat with friends. They use real coffee mugs for those who are drinking it in the shop. Tastefully decorated, and he has book signings and other events worth catching. A treat!

If your looking for a book then this may be the place for you.If however you are looking for good coffee, this is most definitely not the place you want to be. We looked up a small business coffee shop on our way down I-26 and found this place. There was nothing even remotely coffee about our drinks. It was like ordering flavored milk drinks from the kids menu. Someone needs to teach the kids working here how to make a decent latte.
