RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Paid $35 for two slices of pound cake and 2 coffees that were supposedly medium size but seemed way smaller than the sizes showcased. I honestly felt scammed. You’re better off going to the Starbucks nearby!

Alyssa the owner is a complete con artist. She chats up a storm, befriends you and then over charges you for simple drinks and home baked goods. 1 small hot chocolate, 1 small mocha and a cookie for $19.50. Complete scam, talks to you as a distraction and robs you in the meantime. Catches you when the product has already been made and you feel compelled to pay. Not to mention that all of the what we purchased was at best average. Go to the cookie jar instead.

Update: This business is shutting down permanently. A true blessing. Hopefully a well run, honest, quality business replaces this disgrace of a coffee shop. Cheers!

A nice view coffee shop. The owner was very kind.

Owner is charming and service is good. However, the pricing does not reflect the quality or quantity of the product that the customer receives. A 16oz cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso and small latte with oat milk will run you $22. Most coffee shops, this amount would buy out their menu. Purely conjecture but it seems like the owner relies on tourists that won’t generate repeat business and people that light money on fire.

Nice views and owner, but literally shocked at the prices. A cappuccino and latte came out to around $17-18. We ordered the largest size which is most likely a medium elsewhere. Unfortunately the quality was nothing to write home about either.

Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop at the end of the wharf, has a couple outside tables for seating with a wonderful view. Almostfelt like I stumbled upon a secret shop, so it felt special. I stopped in at not a peak time so it wasn't busy, but had a nice chat with the owner who makes the breads and pastries available there too! Price seemed a little high, but it's a tourist area and tbh I didn't look at the prices before I ordered, which were clearly visible I just didn't pay attention. Also felt better buying from a small, woman owned business than from a chain coffee joint regardless, so I didn't mind in the end.
Very nice for atmosphere, service, and quality!

What a shame. This place has been here for decades and it has arguably the best, most iconic location in all of Newport. Sadly the owner has jacked up her prices to the point that they're now simply outrageous. No one would begrudge her the right to make a living but when you charge $14 for a regular coffee and a regular tea, you're really just taking advantage. People are resenting this and you're going to lose a lot of business in the long run. If you want to maintain a long term relationship with people you can't take advantage of them. Bad decision.

The prices here are astronomically high and misleading. I ordered a large hot chocolate and a latte and it was 15 dollars. I asked for a breakdown of the price because I couldn’t believe the cost, and was told that it was a dollar for wiped cream (which I never asked for) etc etc. Read the fine print on the board or better yet go somewhere else

Can't speak to their coffee and would never try it... They wouldn't let my 3 year old son use the bathroom because it was a "liability"... Come on, unreal! Steer clear of this place they are incredibly rude...which from reading other people's reviews sounds like being rude is pretty normal there.

I wish I looked at reviews before hitting this place. Needed some caffeine after leaving our nearby hotel. Figured starbucks would have a huge wait so popped in here, didn't look at prices on board, just ordered 2 large ice coffee and 2 slices of blueberry bread...$34.98,!!!! I was like what?! No excuse for this inflation. The coffees were weak and bread nothing great. Shame on me for paying it though and not looking at the board.
