Coffee Grinder

My fiance recommended this coffee shop not just from the great location but the coffee and the conversations he shared with the owner. We are big into 'mom and pop' shops and this mom is fierce. I wish I could bottle up even a fraction of her work ethic for myself. We've enjoyed a few different coffees and the warmest hot chocolate during the winter months. Will be dragging friends and family to this hidden gem down the wharf. Her hours never disappoint.

Stopped in this morning for coffee, cute little waterside coffee shop. Barista was very helpful and friendly, coffee tasted great. Ordered an iced white chocolate mocha and a latte with almond milk. Would definitely return!

Owner was really nice and I had a frozen cappuccino with an added shot of espresso and while it was delicious, the price was unreasonable at $10.69 for a medium, thus the one star reduction.

It is a fairly ok cafe. The sceen is very nice. It almost feels like being in a movie. This is also fairly expensive. ~$13.50 for a medium latte, and one cinnamon bun. Be careful.

The parking attendant told us to go to Coffee Grinder, as the owner is the hardest working person in Newport, starting at 6 am every day! The owner was the only one there, even though the coffee shop was packed at 4:15 pm. The coffee was really good, and the world-renown, homemade banana bread was delicious (it was recently featured on a cooking show). Apparently the owner personally makes most of the delicious, home-made pastries. Yum! Adorable shop in the middle of Newport’s shopping district.

Alyssa is one of the most hardworking people I’ve ever met. Met her when I was a sophomore at Salve and my best friend and I always make sure to stop by on Halloween as a fun tradition! She’s super meticulous about sourcing her coffee and products and it shows. Her prices are clearly listed so any reviews that say they are surprised by the cost, I’m surprised you didn’t think to read the menu first?

This place is so great! Friendly owner who is accommodating and creates such an inviting atmosphere. Simple menu, incredible view, and great coffee. Can't ask for much more

Don't miss this stop when you visit. A must for coffee lovers. Great location by the water. Excellent selection. It's always a plus when you can enjoy a nice conversation with the owner of a business. I realize that's not possible in season but it was a nice "perk" and she's a gem and a hard worker. Be sure to visit when you're in town.

Not gonna lie, but this place is truly incredible. I LOVED the owner and how welcoming and wonderful she was. This is literally one of my favorite coffee places in Newport. Worth the visit!
