It's a nice coffee place with a beautiful view of the port. The lady at the counter was extremely polite and friendly. Coffee was good.

We visited this coffee shop after reading an article in the Yankee Magazine. Our family seeks coffee houses out like others may seek out a vineyard. This place was extremely expensive. Each 16oz. Iced coffee was 10.00. Which I would have been fine with but it was sub par quality. Weak and watery. My daughter’s frozen “Frappuccino” tasted more like a watered down coffee slushy.

Coffee and cappucinos are decent, nothing special. Way overpriced. We paid $16 for a small cappucino and a small coffee. This was a "discount" apparently, as there is usually an upcharge for decaf we were told. Flavors are $1 extra each and the cups are super small. This business model must be suited for tourists who come once and never again. Not worth it for the price. Service was good and personable.

Excellent coffee with a truly extraordinary view. If you're visiting Newport there's nowhere better to grab your morning coffee. My personal favorite is the cappuccino with one of the delicious baked goods also available at the Coffee Grinder.

This is a small and cozy place. There are some tables outside if you like to drink your coffee and enjoy the view. This place is located next to the water. They have a lot of different flavors and great quality coffee. They have teas as well for people who do not drink coffee. The prices are a little bit more expensive but do not forget, you are paying for the quality of the coffee. And it is a fair price.

My favorite place to start the day in Newport. I visit here a few times a year, and Alyssa always makes me feel right at home. The coffee is delicious and so are the baked goods. Beautiful views and good energy! 💕

Purchased a 12 oz coffee and a bagel for $16, which is way too expensive and overpriced. I don't even pay these prices in Manhattan! However, the bagel and coffee was good (just not $16 good) with a cute view.

Not sure how many stars to give: coffe, location and customer service deserve 5, they are great. The location is great for a cup of coffee/tea/lemonade and just hang out for a bit. However, the prices are not friendly at all. I get it, the location must cost a pretty penny to rent, but let's be realistic here...
1 small cold brew(I mean child size, not regular small cup from Starbucks, I am talking smaller, even my kids noticed the size)
1 small iced latte
1 brownie (not fresh) and
1 tiny croissant (stale, at least 3 days old, not factual just guesstimate)
TOTAL...$27. If that is normal price for you, go for it.

Awful! Just awful! We paid $17.71(cash) for two iced lattes and never get receipt. The woman is gross, no gloves, doesn’t even wash her hands after handling cash. The latte was bad. She didn’t even used espresso. Just put iced coffee over milk. All the pastries wrapped in plastic wrap that’s means it’s been sitting there for days. I know. We own a cafe in Manhattan. Honestly awful. It’s my first review ever. But I think it’s important for people to know.

DO NOT GO HERE! I'm a local and this is an absolute tourist trap. I wrote a review on yelp, but felt compelled to write a google review. I am all for supporting small businesses but this is shady to the highest degree. She makes up the prices on the fly, blames things on "local taxes", claims she bakes everything herself and chats you up to distract you from the fact she just robbed you. The food and coffee is mediocre at best. Don't believe the reviews telling you the owner is lovely. There are chairs at the end of the dock to see the water so you don't have to buy something from her to sit down there. If you really want to support local business and willing to venture a little further try: Empire (a short walk to bellevue or broadway) or Custom House (a short drive to middletown)
