The Cafe on Hawk Creek

Great place with great food and service. They were very busy when we went, but they were awesome. Halibut fish & chips were perfect! Great place to go when you're there!

Bad service.

After a long drive from Washington to our Airbnb, my party and I decided to walk to the Cafe on Hawk Creek. Looking forward to pizza and a drink, our waitress before even speaking to us accused us of being unfit to serve because “our eyes were red”. As we were sober we asked for the manager. It took her about 20 minutes to get to our table and she was sweet. However our experience was already completely ruined. We were afraid to talk or to laugh and we felt extremely uncomfortable. Our waitress practically refused to make eye contact with us after that even though we wanted to order more food. When our drinks finally got to the table, they seemed very watered down but we didn’t want to make more of a scene, so we finished them fast and left. We dine out 5 days out if the week and have never left a restaurant hungry and uncomfortable until now.

The waitress said it was because she just got her liquor license, but If you can’t tell the difference in someone who is sober and someone who needs to be cut off; you should not serve alcohol.

First time nice little place, creek outside the window by our table. We got there before it got busy. We ordered 2 oyster shooters, a fire burger, and their BLTA (blt with avacado) with 2 beers. Food was really good over priced, but good. However the beer was an ipa of some kind bitter and ridiculously priced. We received our check most expensive thing on check was 2 beers for $28. That will keep me from returning. My eyes you just ripped me off $14 bucks a pint for beer.

I had the oyster sandwich with fries. The oysters were crisp and it was filled with tomatoes and lettuce and an amazing sauce. I highly recommend it to those who love oysters. Service was wonderful!

For this being really the main restaurant in town, it’s pretty good! I got a blt, very good quality bacon and aioli. Portion size was good for one person. Price was good, service was fantastic.

The food was great! But they need to re-evaluate the salad. I shouldn't have to use a knife to cut my salad greens because they're too big for me to eat.

Located at Neskowin with it's small cottage community you can easily drive past it but is worth investigating. We had a great lunch at Cafe on Hawk Creek. Good food , good service and seating available inside or out on the deck.This time we enjoyed a savory wood fired pizza and a nice glass of wine. Recently under new ownership , it still maintains it's consistent quality that we have experienced on prior visits. On cooler days and nights the fireplace inside is lit and create a cozy atmosphere for dining or just enjoying a glass of beer or wine at the bar.
The restaurant sits alongside Hawk Creek as does a small trailer called The Village Scoop with its own small patio and seating. On a warm summer day it's a great way to sit and enjoy some flavorful ice cream.
Afterwards you might enjoy a short walk to the beach and a view of Proposal Rock, very picturesque, with miles of walkable shoreline.

Once again this place reminds us of why its our favorite spot. We've been coming here for the last 7-years for our anniversary dinners. The Thai chicken pizza will leave you salivating just from reading the ingredients. The dishes in general are very good, but its all about that wood fired pizza, in my opinion. Food is good, drinks are ok. Nothing special. Pricing is fair, however we have come here on several occasions as we stay close by. We have come here 3 times in last 3 days. We received our bill on this last time and a 27.99 surcharge is added!!! What is this? I questioned the waitress and she told me because I have a party of 6 (4 kids) it is extra. Since when? No where does it state this! I talked with the manager who took it off. But also let me know they are printing new menus and will be adding surcharge for party of 6 or more and UNDER NEE MANAGEMENT !

The seafood cocktail was quite a tasty treat served with fresh tortilla chips. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. The blue cheese dressing on the wedge was phenomenal. The chocolate lava cake was hot and gooey and literally finger licking good. A big heartfelt Thank you to the mystery diner. Karma is real :)
