Yummy! Great job Chef. The lettuce is fresh in the salad and that clam chowder soup is EXECELLENT! I've never had real clam chowder soup I pictured fishy but this isn't. I will be back! Thank you

Thank you so much to Hawk Creek Cafe! They hosted our leadership retreat for @elitecare, @vandahealth, @canyonrim and @adaraoaks for two nights of dinner and drinks! The service was fantastic! The drinks were strong and the pasta and pizza some of the best I’ve ever tasted! The new manager Max has so many wonderful ideas and he personally came to speak to our team to make sure we felt welcomed! Everyone there is fantastic! Thank you all!

We appreciate Hawk Creek Cafe for hosting our Vanda Health team under the big red tent. Our team @vandahealth @canyonrimassistedliving @adaraoaks and @elitecare enjoyed every bit of our time at the restaurant. The food was very tasty and presentable. We can’t wait to visit you again and try your new menu.

Completely scrumptious chicken fried steak, and decadent gravy! Huge coffee mugs with great coffee, and patio seating! Seems like a great wine and beer selection, too! Beautiful view!

I was on hold for 10+ minutes even though the phone is right there in the restaurant. They also forgot the burger I ordered and I had to ask for it. Got the hawk creek bacon cheeseburger and there was no bacon. My first time eating at this restaurant and all of that left a bad taste in my mouth, most likely will not be coming back here for food.

Context for this review: I’ve been going to the Hawk for my entire life, and I even worked there for a while.
It used to be owned by a local couple who cared deeply for the community - though they had some of the same complaints that the new ownership is getting, it was possible to overlook this because of the contributions Frank and Genie made to the community. It was a convivial, vibrant space where you always ran into someone you knew.
The Hawk was acquired by a Portland-based restaurant group in 2021 and the quality of the entire experience has gone downhill since. Neskowin is a small town and there’s hardly any restaurant competition, but it’s a shame that the Portland restauranteurs seem to see the Hawk as a tourist cash cow and sacrifice quality of food and staff in order to make more money. This both alienates the locals and paints Neskowin in a bad light to visitors.
The prices are absolutely astronomical, and more often than not orders (both to go and in person) are late or incorrect. They’ve reduced portions and jacked prices. New management hired by the restaurant group a few months ago drove out numerous tenured members of staff who kept the boat afloat over the last few years.
The bottom line: you won’t get the service you want, you’ll shell out more money than you should, and if you’ve been here in the past, it’s not the cafe you remember.
I truly do hate to write this review, but it’s incredibly discouraging as a local to watch the downfall of this establishment. I want to support them, and I want them to succeed, but it’s getting incredibly hard to do so.

Sub par at best, I ordered a pizza because that was supposed to be their specialty. Literally drowned in cheese, one of the worst pizzas I have had, especially for the money. Service from people working was pretty terrible, manager Lucy was the only redeeming thing about the place. Will not visit again. Go elsewhere.

I dinged it a little because it's gotten so expensive. We used to eat there pretty regularly, but we won't anymore.
