The Diner

Great food and service. Ate there twice, a breakfast and a lunch. So happy to find a good place to eat on Three Mile Rd.! They are not open for dinner, but convenient spot near Willamette Valley Hospital, Olde Stone Village RV park, Evergreen Museum and a couple of motels.

Had the Chicken fried steak with the home fries/potatoes it was Awesome!!! Great place great food we will be back!

I have only eaten here once even though my husband took on some client accounts in McMinnville and since we have a baby- I join him when he has long days so that he can see the baby when he's done and swim in a local hotel.
Sadly- we're in McMinnville at least one night a week and no matter how hard I try to eat at The Diner (since it's literally next to the hotel we stay in) I can't seem to be served.
Today- I tried to get a table at 1:18 (they close at 2:00) and the same waitress that's ushered us away every time previously (4 counting today) told us it would just be "much easier if we ate somewhere else since they close at 2:00." I said that it was only 1:20 and she said, "It's been a busy day."
If they maybe ran out of something or no tables were open- I maybe would understand but it literally looked like she was so preoccupied with closing the restaurant that she forgot the point of it even being open.
I don't know if it's just this one particular waitress and maybe my bad luck- but she's a serious gatekeeper and maybe plan to have lunch at 9:00am? It's too bad because the one time I did get through her block and actually convinced her to let us eat outside if we bussed our own table - the food was delicious.
At this point, my daughters are scared of her and I'm not up to proposing all the reasons I deserve to eat there.

We arrived on Sunday morning, we had to take it togo. We brought our dog and the patio was closed due to staffing. My beautiful wife ordered corned beef and pastrami hash, I received the country fried steak.
Wonderful, the eggs were cooked correctly, everything was full of flavor and seasoned well.

Sharmin, Kyle, Russ saw me come in at 1:58 and didn’t turn me away. They served me with love and didn’t make a big stink that they were going to close. They actually encouraged me to get my meal. Thank you so much to your staff!

Food and service was amazing. Everything is farm to table and made from scratch including the bloody mary mix! We had the shrimp & grits and corn beef/pastrami hash. Sooo good! Our waitress was amazing and attentive. Wish we had more weddings to go to over in that area so we could eat there again.

This food was so delicious. We had dinner after visiting Evergreen airplane museum and it was the perfect way to end our evening. Yummy comfort food and very friendly service. Can't wait to come back when we're in town!

Deliciousness on a plate! The gravy was so yummy, eggs beautifully cooked and the biggest French toast my daughter ever saw. The staff was super friendly and on top of it all on a busy Sunday morning. The whole family was pleased with with their plates!

Service was on point! Food was large and tasty af!!! Going back! Already told multiple friends about this place. Oh, and the Bloody Mary was yummy!

We are new to McMinnville so we have tried out the food at a lot of places. This restaurant is very small with just one cook and one server. The menu is limited to just a few items but the food is very good and everything is fresh and made in house. We have eaten here about 5 times in the past year and the food was consistently good. The specials are always excellent.
