This place had an amazing presentation making us think we we're about to get a great small town meal. We came in and it took a while to figure out if we we're supposed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. When we sat, it took a little while for our server to come over. We gave our order and took quite a while to get some hash browns, eggs, and pancakes. Seemingly basic items to cook. Coffee was kept topped off to be fair. Our friends did not want peppers and onions in their hashbrowns, but apparently they are premade and can not be separated. My eggs came out half cold. The pancakes on my friends plate were undercooked and doughy. My girlfriend's french toast was incredibly dry and very difficult to eat, even with syrup. My pancakes were pretty good at least. When it came time to pay, the waiter brought out a single check so we asked him to split it. You'd have thought we asked him to complete a math exam by the look on his face and hesitation. After a few awkward seconds, our friends just took care of it altogether and we picked up their lunch later. The next day we kinda went out of our way to find another option, and would again next time we visit.

Family and I went here today, food was not bad but I Found a long hair in my chicken salad wrap. I had them replace it with something easy like a grilled cheese sandwich. They didnt even offer to comp me for our meals. We were very disappointed.

Stopped in from a recommendation by The Skyline Guest Ranch, just a few miles down the road. Pictured is the mountain Trout and Steak Oscar. Delicious. The homemade blueberry pie didn't last long enough to get photographed. Friendly staff, clean historic venue.

The Log Cabin Cafe's food and waitstaff were AMAZING! Can't recommend this place enough! Breakfast and dinner were the perfect serving size. Desserts were so tasty! Waitstaff was so courteous and friendly.

This little out of the way place is worth a trip out if you're staying close by. Silver Gate, Montana is in the Northeastern entrance of Yellowstone and incredibly quiet. Log Cabin makes fantastic carrot and pumpkin breads as well as a fresh trout breakfast. Seriously, get the trout breakfast. The place only has two cabins you can stay at. We had to stay across the street.

This place was delicious. The mountains all around was beautiful. The food was homemade perfect. I'd eat here everyday if I wanted to but we have to travel bk to Arizona.

Service friendly and fast enough, food hot, reasonably priced for border of the park town (~$19 for beef hamburger with cheese and bacon and loaded baked potato). Delicious grub in an adorable town that knows their bread and butter comes from travelers- and treats them right!

This place is a special find, especially in this location in a remote section of Montana on the edge of Yellowstone. The food was very good. We ate dinner and then breakfast. The trout and the salmon were good. Breakfast had good options as well, including trout.

Awesome breakfast place on the North Eastern entrance of the Yellowstone National Park after scouting the North eastern drive from 5AM to 8AM. Had the full Trout after the long drive. Sorry forgot to take snap. Was way too hungry after the early morning drive. Must try the French toast pancakes and coffee as well.
