We love this place so much we've chosen it for most of our meals four years in a row. The food is wonderful-- skillfully prepared, and utterly delicious. It's also local and mostly organic, which makes it much more appealing to us. Healthy choices are hard when traveling, especially in the West. This place makes it easy to fuel up with real nutrients after a long day of hiking...

Best restaurant in Yellowstone, fresh ingredients, meats, excellent customer service. I felt very welcomed, chef came to table to make sure we were pleased with our meals.

Really, I'm not making this up.
They actually gave us yesterdays meat loaf; dry, tasteless, and hard with no ketchupy sauce on it. Just a pile of grey sad flesh.

Funny thing is, they replaced it with an edible version when we complained so they had both today's AND yesterdays back there..

All in all, though, it turned out to be one of the most lacklustre meatloafs ever.

Yeah, I know....who the hell expects luster in a meatloaf? Hey, if you put $13 meatloaf on your menu it better have luster, is all I can say.

The rolls were so hard that we ,and the teenagers at the table next to us, were laughing hysterically.
The kid kept stabbing it with a knife till his mother got annoyed and told him to knock it off.

My family got some good laughs, in fact we got good belly laughs at both the horrendous food and the spotty service so two stars seems fair.

To be honest, my daughter did seem to enjoy her burger but I know enough about buns to spot a cheap food service bun from across the table.

I ain't buyin' it....she hasn't been around long enough to discern quality from quantity.....maybe some day.

My chicken dish was totally lacking the asparagus as promised. I didn't have the inner fortitude to raise the issue with the waiter...I just suffered in silence choking down the rubbery, overcooked, salty yard bird.

Hey, the place looks amazing. The log cabin is pretty cool.

I have a feeling that it's a case of an absentee owner under-staffing with poorly prepared help.

Those guys were overwhelmed with the responsibility of preparing food they didn't grow up eating. I assume they were guest workers filling vacancies the home town kids wouldn't fill.

There probably aren't any home town kids....this is just a wide spot on the road outside the gate to Yellowstone after all.

Poor guys are getting a bad introduction to America. Hopefully not.

Shame on us we tried this place twice because only place in town. The prices are rediculous. Food is below area quality. Simple burger was over cooked , breakfast was below standard. We have dined there in the past several times . But that’s over.

Was there Sunday night (July 12th, 2020). Our server could not have moved slower if she tried. We felt we were in some punked video. 35 minutes to get waters. Another 20 minutes to get salt.

Then the food. They were out of most items. And what we did order was wrong for 50% of us.

If you are short on time, avoid this place. If you want good food and service, go anywhere else but here. This place exists ONLY because it is only restaurant in a tourist trap town.

What a great place and the food was excellent! Not sure what it was about the hamburger, but it was one of the best I have ever had. Small family run place with a great atmosphere. If it is busy, just be a little patient with them. It is worth the stop.

It used to be great but during my latest visit July 2017, I had a bad experience with a young waitress. I was not satisfied with the way she took care of us. She was never smiling and when it was time to pay, I didn't gave a tip and then she made such an horrible face asking me to give her a tip. I gave her 2$ but I really did not wanted to. I won't come back, too bad it was a place we loved and had a great memory during our first trip to Yellowstone in 2011.

The girl was young and I suggest her to learn more about her job and how to act with customers. We, travelers from around the world have no obligations to give a tip. A tip is given when we have a good service and we did NOT.

We stopped here July 2019 for breakfast after an early morning of widelife watching. What can i say but the food is incredible. We had French toast and eggs and hot chocolate and it was a perfect way to warm up on a chilly morning.

Coleslaw was mustard and cabbage. Scone was an apple cinnamon sheet cookie. Service was iffy. Home style cooking from the worst possible people. One burger with a small pickle one didn't have anything, but at least they were seasoned.

It was ok, didn't get our drinks until after our food arrived, got mayo instead of sour cream for my burrito (I asked and got the right thing) also had to ask for salsa that was supposed to be included, overall food and service was so so
