My husband and I popped into this lovely café for dinner. The waitress was very busy, but got to us promptly, and our order came out quick! We both had cheeseburgers, and the beef was amazing. They were easily the best cheeseburgers we ever had! My husband picked the pumpkin bread for dessert and we were not disappointed. We were served a huge, warm, fluffy slice. The smell was amazing and the taste was to die for! We didn't have time to stop by the next day for breakfast, but they were packed!

Wow! Just wow! After driving all the way across Yellowstone park and seeing tons of wild animals we were hungry and came up to this Log Cabin Cafe. Don't pass this place by because it looks small. Oh my goodness! This place was the best stop of our vacation so far.
Our friends ordered a burger and a pepper steak sandwich. My husband ordered smoked salmon wrap and I got a salmon burger.
Everything was delicious! Our friend said the pepper steak sandwich was the best she's ever had.
So afterwards we ordered dessert. Blueberry pie and strawberry-rhubarb pies. So yummy!
Don't pass this place up seriously good.

Good food, very nice service, (to be expected) high prices. We ordered the chicken salad and a cheeseburger with a side of tomato-basil soup. All was good except the soup which tasted burned and I left it untouched besides 2 sips. When we paid our bill we were given a complimentary, HUGE, DELICIOUS piece of pumpkin bread because of the soup issue. Incredibly gracious!!! Wish we could have tried the trout. I would go again if in the area. They had a Ghana themed buffet advertised for Saturdays - that would be fun to try!

My wife and I stopped by during a spontaneous September snow storm, and thank goodness we did. We both enjoyed the burgers. They had the best tasting, most flavorful beef I have ever had in my entire life. The hard work shines thru. The staff were the nicest people we've met for hundreds of miles as well! We felt like we were at home. This place is something to be proud of.

Simply put- this place is a gem! The food is delicious and the staff is attentive and kind! What more could you ask for! I had a salad with chicken which was delicious and my husband had the trout dinner- he said it was some of the best fish he has ever had! 10/10 recommend!!

My wife and I came to Cooke City with our friends a week after the devastating floods hit the area. The area of Cooke City and Silver Gate have been hit extremely hard by the flood.
We are trying to support the local businesses who are struggling to stay open and ask that anyone who can do the same.
Thank you to the Log Cabin Cafe for opening and taking such great care of us in these difficult times.

Log Cabin Cafe is a warm and friendly place with delicious trout dinners. The server and chef welcomed our family to their warm inner dining area very close to closing time and did not rush us at all to order or finish our delicious meal. We came by recommendation of a ranger from the Roosevelt area, and we are so glad we did! I will not forgot the delicious trout and the friendly staff. Our visit was in June of 2019, I’m writing this now because I’m highly recommending this place to friends going to Yellowstone NP this month and recommend coming here after hiking a few trails in Lamar Valley. It will be a great way to end your day!

I get it everybody is under staff. It was really busy. There might have been some communication barriers. I don't know, seemed like they quite didn't understand what we were saying. They didn't get back to us to us as far as refilling our coffee or asking about if we wanted a dessert. There is no other place in town to eat. So we chose here. I would keep on driving if you can

I had a grilled cheese and the tomato basil soup when stopped here. I did not like the grilled cheese it had swiss cheese and not just cheddar which I did not see listed out in the menu description as I would never order swiss cheese. It taste like feet. So would be nice if the menu described the cheese that they use. The tomato basil soup lacked flavor and was very bland. We had the pumpkin bread which was amazing and the apple pie was on point. I wish we could have just ordered desert so the place did not get a low rating. The staff was friendly and very nice. Would come back for dessert when in town.

If I could rate this zero I would. I have been in the service industry for 10+ years, so I'm usually very patient & understanding. My fiancee & I were here for breakfast... I had french toast, bacon, eggs & each of these items were undercooked. My fiancee received the wrong toast, & all of here food was undercooked as well. From the time we were greeted until the time we finished eating, our waitress didn't stop once. We were never asked how the food was, & we had to flag down the server when we wanted to leave. We didn't eat our food, & couldn't leave fast enough. This was the worst experience we had our west, & one of the worst overalls experiences in general.
