Delicious Reuben sandwich and AMAZING pies! Tried the berry and the peach then took apple with us to our hotel. We were on our way home to Virginia so we couldn't take more pie. That was 3 months ago and we still talk about the pie! Wish I had the recipe for the crust

This place is known for it's foot high meringue and the pies did look amazing. However, we visited the day before a holiday when they had their peanut butter pie which was luscious. The wait staff also recommended the apple pie. The pie crust was flakey and delicious. The fresh apples were seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend.

Stopped on the way to St. Louis. Was seated right away, servers came quickly and were very polite. Food came quickly and was very filling being family style. All in all an excellent dining experience. Grabbed a slice of pie on the way out! Will be back again and recommend this to everyone!

Cute country family diner. Convenient quick stop off the freeway. Buffet or menu option. Homestyle country food. Not a good option for vegetarians. Buffett was not good at all.

Always a very good experience at Blue Springs. Quality food with a homestyle experience and great service. Couldn't ask for more, and will visit again in the future.

While traveling across I70 in Illinois on our way home, my cousins and I ran across this place. We were pleasantly surprised. It was what I call a “ hole in the wall” kind of place, which I love. The food was amazing! Everything is served family style. We started with pickled beets, sweet and sour beets, and biscuits for the table. I chose fried chicken for my entree, which was 4 perfectly cooked pieces. It was crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. For the table we had mashed potatoes, green beans and white gravy. .if you have room, they have 8-10 different varieties of homemade pie. Definitely worth the stop if you find yourself in Illinois.

It not that great had shrimp coleslaw and fries it was all stuff out of a bag nothing actually made on site ...they advise 1 ft high pies but the coconut pie I had was barely 4 inched and cost 4.95$ for 1 peice of pie last but not least they don't take credit/debit cards cash or check only ....if you are going to advertise with all the billboards on the interstate you need to at least take cards
