Very fresh food and great friendly service.
Had the Pastrami sandwich and my wife had the scrambled eggs. Glad they serve breakfast all day. Very nice house turned into the cafe.

Thanks for your hospitality Katz team.

If you are expecting a New York deli you are in the wrong place. Brisket sandwich full of fat and had a funny taste. $16 loc and bagel - Came with a store-bought bagel and barely enough cream cheese to cover half a bagel. Came here because of the name, will never go back

Again with the frozen food being served "fresh". This is a TINY TOWN!!
$29 for 2 biscuits ( frozen for sure) , 2 eggs, 1 sausage patty, 1 frozen chicken patty (served "fresh"), and some gravy (absolutely from a packet), disappointed... portions were small, but I after I dug into my breakfast I was ok with the small portion. Because I didn't even want to finish what was in front of me. Im just saying, if the bill were say... $12-$15 dollars i would have just chocked it up to bad choice on my part. But if you're going to charge THAT much for 2 breakfast (before tip!!!) Then you need to bring a better game option.

Had to buy bottles of water because they "don't offer tap water" at just shy of $3 a bottle. So $6 extra... FOR WATER !!

I’ve been a fan of Katz’s for a long time and it was such a treat to find them in Tennessee/Georgia. We were vacationing with friends and it was the first time all week we found a restaurant where all the kids liked their food and finished their meals! And the adults loved it too. The pastrami was just as good as it is in New York!

Wife and I took the Blue Ridge Train to McCaysville GA, We had planned on having a lunch there, when we got there we came across Katz New York Deli right across the road form the train depot.
The restaurant looked appealing from outside, a converted house with the various rooms used as dining rooms, seemed clean and well maintained.
The menu selection (albeit limited) varied from a selection of all an day breakfast to light lunch options and sandwiches, they claim to have the best Ruben! although my wife didn't care for their version of a Ruben sandwich.
Service was somewhat slow, however considering 400 people just arrived off the Blue Ridge scenic railway it's understandable., so if you plan on dining there get there early.
Staff were nice and friendly, my order when it arrived some 20 minutes after placing it had not been entirely accurate, when I questioned our server it was put right in no time.
With regards to menu pricing at Katz New York Deli this is where I give a big thumbs down, all we ordered was a Ruben and hungry man breakfast with two hot beverages, total cost $35 and some change.
In Summary : I'm awarding two stars....
Too pricey for what they offer, although they tell you their food is freshly prepared this still doesn't warrant lofty menu prices.
If you enjoy quaint surroundings friendly staff and food prices being somewhat lofty then you may enjoy this spot.
Otherwise I would recommend you meandering around McCayvilles as they are other places which might suit the more conservative pocket.

*disclaimer* I added the black pepper.

$35+ for two biscuits and gravy and two small coffees. The gravy used is white gravy with zero seasoning or sausage. Both individuals that tasted the food said “it tasted like they poured mayonnaise on some biscuits”. The coffee was ok. Nothing to get excited about.

Felt uninvited when entering, ordering, and picking up food once it was ready.

Will not being returning.

Drove out of the way to eat here and they're closed at 10am on a Thursday. 🤦🏻

If you don't get the Reuben you're wrong! The people are friendly and hospitable! The desserts are to die for!! Loved the experience and highly recommend the restaurant!! Beautiful atmosphere and food!

Cute place in an old house
Each room is a separate dining area. It's a cafe with a small lunch menu with breakfast all day. Food was tastey.

This is a remarkable genuine delicatessen found in the foothills of Georgia. Five of us ended up at Katz's after riding the train from Elijay and what a delicious surprise was waiting for us there! I've read some comments that their food was "pricey" but for the quality, I don't think the price could be beat!. I had the Reuben sandwich with their homemade picked red cabbage (instead of sauerkraut)....OMG the best Reuben ever!! The Corned Beef was lean, tender and perfectly seasoned. Two of us got the Corned Beef. One got the Chicken Salad sandwich loaded with lots of vegetables on a fresh bun..delicious! The other two couldn't resist the foot long hot dog with homemade chunky chili and chopped onions....my sister said it was the best she ever had!
Several of us got the homemade cinnamon rolls which were delicious with a creamy icing that was not too sweet and just enough cinnamon. If you are anywhere near this Deli, please do yourself a favor and treat your palate to some awesomeness!
