Katz’s New York Deli

This place advertises as a deli but it’s not really an authentic deli. Bagels were clearly store bought packaged and the cream cheese came in food service packets! Ordered pierogi and same story right out of a grocery store package! This name of this place infers it has something to do with the famous NY deli.

Wonderful experience. Food was very tasty and fulfilling. Service was top notch. Pricing was as expected.

Excellent service!! We arrived last minute in a downpour after they turned off the grill, and they very kindly took our order. Most places would've turned us away, but Katz is where it' s atz!!
They also made the BEST Reuben I've ever had. Check them out of you're ever in the area!

My two co-workers and I stopped in for breakfast. The food was very generic and bland. LOW QUALITY. The prices are outrageous and the quantity AND quality is way way off from the TASTE. A $17+ Chicken biscuit and drink meal was a waste of money.

They made a Reuben that was slightly different than expected & it was delicious. Not the same as Katz's in NY, so don't walk in thinking it is. Still a very good place to eat. We also learned they are the only restaurant opened early morning for all the emt's, police & firemen or they'd have no place to eat in town. Kudos to Katz's for that.

Brisket sandwich was great the wife loved the Ruben sandwich great service. We’re looking forward to coming back soon.

This is a gem. Excellent service AND food. Great atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone based off my first visit!
Edit: I've been here several times now and I must say, this place is consistent and the service is quick.

Awesome place to enjoy a meal. Rentavated house with such old charm . Great dining experience. Very friendly staff. Breakfast special was delicious 😋 and severed hot. Will be back soon.

We LOVED this place. Highly recommend the corned beef hash. This is the real deal. Bagel & lox as well as French toast were delightful as well. Definitely eat here.

Cute location , went off the blue ridge train family was hungry and it was first place we spotted . There were a few hornets inside the seating area which was a bit off putting for my kids , also prices were very high but that was to be expected in tourist area . The food was mediocre kind of expected a bit more attention to detail - small details missing like sauce on the Rueben - (was very dry) and not enough syrup for pancakes etc . The food wasn’t bad though .
Edit: I would like to add that the food was good once asked for sauce syrup etc. just kind of expect it to come with that is what I meant . Still would come back again if in town and still would recommend if looking for lunch or breakfast and in the area already
