My wife and I stopped by after our dentist appointment and it was a wonderful experience. The 1920s building is intact and well maintained. The owners and employees were all very friendly. The food was great and so was the coffee. We shared a everything bagel breakfast sandwich and a crepe with strawberries and blueberries. The quilts in the wall were exquisite and handmade by Fran the owner. We will be back!

I was excited to find a local breakfast spot. Turns out it's just a tourist trap w overpriced food. I wasn't impressed with the heavily taxed corn beef hash out of a can.

We visited this place while on on lay over with the train ride from Blue Ridge. It was lunch time and very busy. The wait to order was not bad but it was down hill from there. It took over 30 min to get our order and we had to take it to go at that point. There was flies in the dining area. Seating was terrible. My husband got the BBQ sliders. The buns were not fresh, the meat was small squares of ham with watered down BBQ sauce. That gave him the wrong side as well. I got the BLT. The lettuce was wilted and the bread was soggy. The food was over priced but we expected that because of the tourist location of the business.
Very disappointed.....

Such a charming place. Wonderful, friendly service, and the food was great! We had breakfast at our visit and it was delicious.

Beware of the value!
Monday morning our family strolls into this cute restaurant that is clean and tidy for some breakfast. Everything looks good and truly tasted good. However breakfast for six that costs over $110 and where the staff is nickel and diming the patrons is absurd for this class of dining. Water was only available by the bottle and for $2.50 each. Then if you'd like to substitute a part of your meal expect a hard no and following that a word on how "the meals come as described and anything added would have to be purchased in-full separately!"
Careful with the coffee too cause I asked for an extra shot of espresso in my coffee and the guy tried to charge $2.65 for each extra shot in a coffee already over $5! I would rate one star but the food actually wasn't too bad and that counts for something. Overall, really disappointed with the service and experience our family had today. Beware!

OUTSTANDING food. The BBQ brisket reuben was completely out of this world. Perfect. The picked red cabbage was AMAZING & totally set the sandwich on a different level. My wife had the Tuna sandwich & it was equally as good, she says. Pierogi was GREAT & knishes too. The staff, as well, were great. Super friendly & really on top of everything at a VERY busy time. Totally recommend Katz's. Can't wait to come back.

Perogies were just like Mrs. It's, store bought. Hardly no filling. BLT had VERY little bacon on it. $10 for 5 small fried perogies and $13.00 for a sandwich

Stopped in to have a pastrami sandwich ate it on the front porch delicious food great atmosphere love sitting on the porch in that town very cozy. I forgot to grab her name that was on working that day but she helped find a hotel room for me while my phone had no service. I thought how helpful very considerate. So I went back for breakfast the next day Western omelet with toast and a mocha. It was perfect! I thought to myself while I was eating it on the front porch delicious and not a huge oversized portion. Very nice place I would recommend it to anyone in town. Thank you!

We came upon this restaurant one day and stopped to check it out. The pastrami and corned beef was excellent. The stuffed cabbage was excellent!! We decided to have the owner, Fran prepare our holiday meal for the Jewish holiday. We ordered corned beef, pastrami, kugel, stuffed cabbage and a loaf of rye bread. We came from Chattanooga to pick this food up. It was all excellent!!! Our guests loved it and cannot wait for us to take them up there with us. We have eaten at delis all over New York and numerous other places in our travels. This food at Katz׳s New York Deli was absolutely delicious and could go up against any other true deli.
