If you are hoping to have a New York deli experience here, adjust your expectations. This is a beautiful little quaint, counter service restaurant with friendly people. They do have some deli items, and as my husband can attest, they will try to accommodate your requests to the best of their ability and resources. He was very pleased with the corned beef. He was not pleased that he could not have a glass of water, but had to purchase bottled water or some other bottled beverage. He was also unimpressed that the only bagels he could get were plain or raisin. The locals seem to like the place, and are probably the mainstay of the business, so I can't say they should adjust to the desire of someone breezing through town, like me. The three star rating is a reflection of name vs. reality and the fact that my food was barely warm (they probably held it while they were preparing my husband's special request). This is a nice breakfast joint, just don't go in there expecting a NY deli.

Food was just ok. Overpriced for what you get and quality. They were very busy so want to be understanding, but lady at front (said she was the general manager, I believe) was rude to several customers, including myself. They were out of several items despite advertising breakfast served all day. The outdoor table we sat at had a wasp nest underneath which could have been dangerous (especially to our children). Be careful! When I informed employees about the wasp nest, they said "Not much I can do about it." Really?

I would avoid this place at all costs. Totally rude staff and owner Nancy. My friend lives with me and has gone here for few weeks. We are locals and apparently you get locals discount. We did not know this till I accompanied her to the coffee shop. I had other friends visit from Florida who asked to substitute meat in the breakfast sandwich for spinach and Nancy overcharged them like 8 more dollars to add spinach. Today is the final straw my friend goes in to get us drinks and they are rolling their eyes and acting rude. We will never be returning. The only reason they are acting so rude I assume is that my friend has an accent and my friends from Florida are from India and are not White. You should be ashamed of yourself Nancy and employees.

Very cute old home for the cafe. Very nice staff. The food was okay, but very overpriced for what you get . (even for a tourist town.) $62 for 2 basic grilled cheese, a simple BLT, a reuben, 1 sprite, and 1 apple juice. Meal pictured. You can also choose a snack bag of lays classic chips for a side, or a shot glass like plastic cup of coleslaw. Food was not bad, just definately not worth the cost. Will not likely go back.

Edit to respond to owner: I read through many of the reviews. We are not the first to think the price is too high for the quantity of food given. Any negative review seems to come with some pushback or excuse. Based on what we normally pay when we go out to eat, rising cost is just an excuse. We ate lunch down the road the day before we ate at you establishment. Same city, same weekend. For the same amount of money we paid at your restraunt for what was shown , we got: 4 drinks, 2 fish and chips, 1 kids burger and fries, and a massive philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries. Your prices are high.

Severely disappointing food at this place. On the second day of December we thought we were going to have a nice breakfast, boy were we wrong. 60 dollars for four people and it was all store bought pre made garbage. You can see by the pics the hash browns are straight out of the freezer so is the sausage patty. Save yourself some money and time and eat anywhere else. The staff didn’t know how to run the register and to cap it off this place is literally an old house with the living room and bedrooms now just have tables in them to eat with clothes in the closet lol. So we chose to sit in the “living room” and some old man, wither the owner or just a staff member sat in a chair in front of the window facing our table and was legit just sitting there watching us and playing on his phone while we ate, it wouldn’t have been that weird but we were the only people in the restaurant.

Edit after the owners response. The reason I changed my review to a one star is why would you have the nerve to respond negatively to your customers? Do you realize that the way you better your place of business is by focusing on your happy and unhappy customers. The older man came out of the kitchen so maybe you are correct. You surely as restaurant owner can tell your customers this pre made from frozen sausage patties and hash browns are not from the frozen department of sam’s club or better yet probably the grocery store across the road from you.
Thank you for at least admitting to us that your hash browns and sausage comes to your store frozen the same way they arrive at a school cafeteria. If I were made aware of this instead of assuming they were made fresh it would have been different. I’ll own that as my fault since your slogan is “prepared fresh” in my mind i assumed “made fresh” so I admit that I had higher hopes going in. I will leave my review as 1 star review however because of your unprofessional public response to your customer.

Mediocre at best
For breakfast I ordered an omelette it came with 1 piece of toast and no sides for $14.00 for a 2 egg omelette!
This tiny omelette had very little tomato and very little spinach with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top… definitely not the best breakfast in town.
I ordered a glass of water with lemon and I had to buy bottle of water
my husband ordered ice tea he had to buy a bottle of ice tea… my husband‘s pastrami sandwich was lacking the same as my omelette. For mustard and mayonnaise you used packets that are on a nearby counter.
Seriously the food is lacking any pizzazz at all
You order upfront and they give you a buzzer when your foods ready that you have to go pick up.
I definitely won’t return and I would suggest you find somewhere else to eat

A quaint, cozy house transformed into a delicious deli/restaurant. The employees are friendly and welcoming. The place is casual and relaxing. You head in the front door to a restaurant setting in a living room and head to the right to find a Deli counter with baked goods and more. You're greeted and look up at a bulletin board/chalkboard style menu hanging, place your order and pay for your purchase. You are invited to grab an available table inside or out. My sandwich was delicious. It was good sized, too. I admit, I ate the whole thing. Yummmm.

Sandwiches were ok, but the price was outrageous. I was super excited that they had GF bread, but their Reuben was lacking. Corned beef was lean, but had no flavour and 1,000 island was way too sweet. Won't be going back for those prices. $15 for a Reuben is a little steep.

Reuben sandwich is amazing! Generous portion of corned beef with picked relish. Nice atmosphere with 100 year old home.

Breakfast was good, but for $50+ not worth the prices. We had a breakfast sandwich, pancakes, muffin and a plain bagel. Side of bacon. Order at counter and we sat down. Only 4 some in the restaurant and they stared at my daughter when the food was ready for us to get it from the counter. And when asking for salt and pepper, pointed to another table for me to retrieve. Don’t expect any service.
