Reuben had very little meat which was disappointing. No options for side salads either. Would be nice to offer a non-carb side for people ordering sandwiches. I had expected more from the reviews.

Best lunch in town. I get the Sue's Tailgate (not on menu anymore but you can still order). Everything is so good and best potato salad, ever. Creamy, garlicky!

Uptown is always a great choice. Very friendly staff, and the owner is most often their and comes around to talk to everyone. If you go on a day that looks like it has a long wait, you can enjoy a mimosa or a coffee while you wait. Food is always yummy, and they are happy to make substitutions anytime they can to make your meal perfect! Tip: try the pesto, and take your doggies with you!

The food is delicious, and the staff is amazing. The owner is always in the lobby talking to customers and taking conversations to heart - he even gave my daughter a free shirt! It really has that "community cafe" feel and I love it... my only complaint is that the coffee is just average. When the food is so delicious, it'd be nice to have the option for a more premium coffee.

Phenomenal food and service. Favorite breakfast place in Tallahassee, and there's a bunch of great local breakfast places. Even being packed for the morning after an FSU game, the service was polite and organized. The owner Fred was welcoming every guest and running around making sure everyone was being served, and even recognized me after only being in a couple times before. Highly recommend.

Love quaint little breakfast places like this!! Friendly staff from when we walked into the door and on our way out. The food was amazing and so decently priced for how good it was. The patio was the best part with all the hanging plants and painted decor I loved it!! Went on a quiet Wednesday and had a blast. Dog friendly so bring your furry friend!!

I found this spot a few years ago when I was looking for a place to sit down with my laptop to study and eat. Whitney, who left for school, will forever be my favorite employee.
The staff is always super friendly and know the menu so well. One guy recommended the Cibatta because they were out of English Muffins one morning and I was amazing. I've never had a bad experience whether I sit in or carry-out.
The only thing I've noticed is the French toast isn't made with regular bread, which is a downside for me because I personally feel like it throws off the taste of my French toast; my boyfriend likes the other bread they use so its really a preference. The pancakes are HUGE but delicious. The cheese grits are amazing, the eggs cooked any way are good.
I really enjoy overall a home cooked meal and vibe. Thats what I always get when I come here. I haven't found a breakfast place to top how I feel about Uptown. I always recommend them and had a few friends who now go there more than me.
Besides the French toast, I love coming here and will be there shortly for a Bellini and plate.
Ps. They started doing loyalty rewards so ask for a card and hold onto it.
Thank you for being customer service friendly and having food that feels like I'm a little closer to home.

The food was okay. The Reuben was a bit soggy, but I did get it to go. Risky for the best of Reubens. They gave me the wrong cookie and tea. The sandwich was placed on it side in the bag.
The service today was shoddy. To go orders are placed at the back door. No signage to tell you that. Seated service is around the corner. No signage to tell you that. I wanted to sit an eat, no problem I was told, they'll bring it around. Great, looking forward to old favorites. The out side waiter did not acknowledge me after 3 trips in and out of the building. I decided to go ahead and get it to go. I walked back to the to go order area. My food was sitting under the heat lamp.
The place is looking a bit run down.
The familiar pride of ownership was absent today.

Got two sandwiches to go today one was a Cuban the other one was a avocado base both of them way too salty and also very very very very dry. for the price in which they charge for these two sandwiches that we could not finish they need to either consider reducing the price or getting fresher bread. I've heard some so many talk about how good the food is I'm so bad our experience was not good at all

There's a reason for the long wait for a table at weekend brunch, and it's great food! Highly recommend the Mancakes, but only if you are very hungry or want leftovers. Personable staff and a dog-friendly patio complete the experience.
