The Shack Cafe

The food is good but not amazing, the portions are small and they're not cheap. I got scammed going to this place, they didn't give me a menu (because of covid). So I used a menu online and the breakfast was listed as 10$. When I got the bill it was 11.50$, I told them it says 10$ so the waitress answered me. "The price online is our old price, we didn't update it". Like it's my problem, they should have honored the price I saw online. I left aggravated I would only recommend this place as a last resort.

I was probably 5 years old, the first time I can remember going to the shack. It's changed hands a few times but they've always had good breakfast.

A very busy tourist spot for sure! And still the servers kept their cool and offered terrific service! The food was fresh and tasty. A very diverse menu. I had the fish and chips and I enjoyed it very much.

We stopped in for breakfast this morning. Funny & friendly waitress. The man who brings the water and coffee was so happy. Instantly put us in a good mood. The food was good and the portions were big.

Everything about this place was "meh". I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. It didn't taste like anything had salt, and so was very bland. The hash browns were still partially raw. The biggest disappointment was the cinnamon roll. It was about as bland and boring as possible. No cinnamon, no sugar, and the frosting was...weird. Funny texture, not very sweet, and an odd flavor.

Service was decent, but overall not something I would do again.

Stopped in for breakfast before heading back to Denver, everyone in our party enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. It's exactly what we expected from a small town diner.

Another local favorite. Very good food and service. Had a great conversation with the newest owner, a few years now, and mentioned that I worked here, washing dishes. Thanks for keeping the local fed and happy!

This was a fantastic dining experience for me. Alex greeted me immediately when I walked in the door and from that point on gave me absolutely flawless service. She was kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Give this girl a raise!

Friendly and fast service at 11:30 on a Wednesday. Good portion sizes and definitely satisfied a family after hiking up the uranium mine trail.

Food was amazing, service was great, price was super fair. Get the Benedict and don't listen to crazies who say the hash browns are burnt, they were perfectly brown and better than most
